Iben,

Stardock Central is our new improved component manager which will replace the existing Object Desktop Component Manager and the Drengin.net Game Manager.

Its a single component manager for all our products wrapped into one utility that also has browsing and chat support.

If you wish to try the beta of Stardock Central you can download it from: https://www.stardock.com/files/StardockCentral080.exe

directly downloading the SDC and installing it over existing worked for me...
Though on this system running SDC and the auto-update worked fine for whatever reason, it was on my laptop that it went wackybobo... But I had not kept that up to date like this one....

Does this write over component manager or is it a separate program?

It'a separate program. If you want to play it safe, stick with Componenet Manager for now. If you're like the rest of us (and I know you are), half the fun here is working through the game!

What do you mean Iben??

Ande,

There actually was a problem in the previous version in the way it was saving version info to the registry. That has been fixed in this build. Because of that previous problem some applications may appear to be uninstalled. If you install something with this new version and it still says there is an update. Then let us know that. Otherwise it may be related to an older bug.

I just purchased Object Desktop again. Instead of installing the component manager I installed the beta of Stardock Central. It works great here! Now to get used to some of the new windowblind features!!
