When you load the application, a screen comes up which has any installed logon themes. You simply double click on the theme you want and it will be applied. You can download new logon themes from here: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=26

They *should* have the correct registered extension for logon studio, so you can double click the file and it will be installed (not applied).

Let me know if that's what you were looking for

LOl Don't worry about it. The welcome themes are different logon themes you can choose from. You have to apply them. Click on Welcome1. You should see a picture of it on the right (a bunch of squares coming through some circles), then click on apply. The theme should then be applied and when you go to the logon screen, you'll see it.

Oh, BTW, very important... You have to be on XP for this thing to work

"A bunch of squares coming through some circles"?!!
I think what you meant to say was: That wonderful work of art by BoXXi which encompasses the Windows operating system ethos, and depicts the direction of the future of Windows"
Or something like that!

... Yeah, that's what I meant

sorry BoXXi...it's a wonderful logon theme.

heh, that looks pretty cool.

Maybe it's my aging eyeballs, the fact that I can't click my eyes into the right reality, but I don't see werewolves on that image. Still looks cool.

nkapp5: note that Windows XP doesn't allow logon screens when you're connected to a domain network. Are you?
Basically, when you log on right now, do you see Windows XP's default full screen blue logon screen, or do you see a little grey popup window?

think he might mean the welcome screen....

Welcome screen, logon screen whatever. That blue screen with the Windows XP logo that says "To begin, click your user name".

What do you see when you log on?

To add a new logon theme, download it from here: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=26

Then, go to the folder where that file is. It should have a .logonXP extension. Simply double click on this file and it will be *installed* in the correct folder for these things. Then, open LogonStudio.exe. Your new theme should be showing in the list. Select it and click apply. That *should* do the trick.

give me a name of one of the logins you've downloaded so I can download it and see if I get the same thing.

Some older ones are exe's and .ui's and you have to import those so they will work...

also, sometimes you have to refresh the list before newly added ones will show up....

Try it this way:
Open Logonstudio, click the button marked "load". Browse to where your downloaded logon file is and highlight it and click "open". It should appear in your list of logons now and you just have to highlight it in the list and hit apply.
Works for me!
