When it comes to wallpapers, I'm not very good. I've only ever uploaded one to this site. I removed it of my own accord. Not because it was horrendously bad. (although it wasn't particularly great either). No, I removed it because it had run it's course. It was down to receiving less than 1 download per week on the average, so I made the decision to remove it.

I'm not suggesting that other's do this. However, if people do have walls up that are no longer receiving downloads you may want to consider removing them. For the sake of tidyness, if nothing else.

Just a thought.

ii do the same as soon as i drop below a few dls a day, i delete mine, i think i have deleted 8 or so, but i will soon be replacing a few im now deleting as i have been workin my butt off on new ones

mmm, hows it play out with hand drawn walls? Should they be colorized and or rendered before submitting?

hmm, im hardly making walls now as seperate downloads. The only time ill make a wall now ive decided, will be one to match a windowblind that ill make or theme related so its a matching kit. Im starting to dislike some of my walls appart from theme related sets, actually prefer scenery to be honest.

It really annoys me how WinCusto admins receive threatning emails from people who have been rejected, thats just over the top, no respect there and that will get you a bad rap.

WinCustomize is the best skinning sites going about, with a great bunch of people including admins, it is a skinning site and should stay that way.

Probably only reason why so many sites are mobbed with walls as there so easy, if you know what yer looking for.

I would love to see people that do walls try windowblinds but not rush them, plan them out, as i think thats where the real skill comes in, have an artistic eye on a GUI, would be nice seeing 2854 Windowblind skins rather than walls

Do you mean to say that some are so full of themselves that they revert to the self humiliating act of actually sending emails with threats to the operators of this site?

I made a comment to someone in ICQ about "some being down right ugly" I should have validated the meaning behind that by following it up with the fact that I was talking about people, not the creative work... people can become very ugly, inside, and project it for the silliest reasons, which even they seem to miss seeing...

It is actually supposed to help with my right hand fomr what the doctor told me. The tendons and ligaments are a bit shorted in my right formarm and also the back of my right hand. I had an oopsy back in the 80's and they had to re-attach things

the doctor said it might help because my hand and wrist will be turned slightly, releaving the tension so my hand and fingers do not cramp up...

did you guys read the posts from that article, some guy said that there are ugly WB skins, they are art, you don't ever call someone elses work ugly... some people have no respect... I don't know why... but that really got to me... more than the other trolls do... errrr... my opinion is this... all of the windowblinds skins are good, and thre are no skinners here that I don't consider professionals... I look up to every single one of the skinners here... I want to tell them thank you for your hard work and dedication... and don't let anyone say you've done a bad job, because I like the works of every skinner on this site...

Anyone who would make such a claim is pointless to consider really, they do not count by personal choice and indicative by such an action in making such a statment...

Heck, I "KNOW" just how hard it can be to present anything for others to view. People in my family, my wife and children do not go into my sketch books that I have boxed up and under my side of the bed.It "IS" me, or parts of me on those pages, I'd turn out cartoons and such for the kids, or when younger, sculpt or paint something for someone at the odd time. But, the things, anyway...

There is a set process, something instituted before hand, people accept that and present things for consideration. It isn't personal rejection in the least for it to not be accepted, far from it. It could be a means of self exploration artistically, searching for new skill sets, a new style, what have you. But it is how things are structured and for a reason. For the most part from what I see on the site and also read here on the board, almost everyone accepts that. The fact that if what they are seeking is a wall-mill or some such, there are plenty of them out there and stuff can be posted to them at anytime, while still being a part of things here..

your right... people can be extremal ugly inside and share it outside placing it at others feet and not even understand it is a direct reflection upon the one bearing such negative presumptions.

da_zman: hehehe! Lets not get crazy. There are lots of very nice skins here, but there are ALSO some quite ugly ones. We don't moderate skins for quality, but sometime wish we did. :/
So, please let me disagree, there IS such a thing as ugly art. Give me a paintbrush and a canvas, I'll show you.
