Frogboy's Wallpaper article

"You visit most sites that have themes and skins and you'll notice that have a gazillion wallpapers. You come here and you see fewer than 3000. Why is that? It's because we reject 9 out of 10 submissions."

I for one appreciate the hardwork that the moderators do on this site weeding out submissions. I have seen wallpapers that I personally don't think should be on here, but that's not my job and I wouldn't want it. So let's not start crying every time one of our submissions gets rejected. Look at it as an opportunity to grow.

As a side note, is there a time limit to how long each submission stays on the site? If there isn't, wouldn't that also help keep the numbers down... that is to delete after x number of days? Just curious...

Thanks goes out to the moderators.

paxx is correct.....[check out 'Still trapped in Bryceworld' by Jafo....though that's intentional].
'Ugly' is a subjective term....'eye of the beholder' and all that.
Another person may find it 'the bee's knees'...just what they always wanted in a skin...

da_zman20,

There will always be people in society who like to approach things negatively. For them, is easier to say something is 'ugly' than to find positive aspects of it and then, starting from that positive position, work towards ideas that might make it better.

In life, and I'm sure everyone knows someone like this, there are those people who revel in delivering that which is negative. At my workplace there is this man who loves running up to me when I arrive in the morning, (even before I've had my morning coffee), and telling me about all the mistakes that I've made from the day before. He takes a sadistic pleasure in delivering the bad news. He thrives on negative energy.

The best thing is to move past these people. Let them wallow in their own negative ways. In the end, when they're taking stock of their life and they realize they did or said absolutely nothing positive their entire existence they may finally see themselves for what they were. It won't be happy day for them.

I only ever make walls for myself. There are just too many out there as it is to bother uploading. At least the small quantity this site has are of the highest quality. Some places you can upload absolutely anything...

It take a lot of hard work and many hours to produce a windowblind skin. So yes, I believe that all the works from all the artists are great. I may personally not like some due to the color or whatever but that doesn't make it bad or ugly. It just makes in not for me. That goes for all the works that are uploaded here. The people give so much of their time to make something and share it with others the least the rest of the people could do is be thankful and enjoy the work of others.
