Men---Women

Men---Women

I have noticed that there are more men artists than women. Also more men on the messageboard than women. Why is that? Anybody have some ideas?

Damn, by the time I got down here I forgot what the thread was all about. Whatever. Old Crabs don't associate with either species much.

If 'art' involves spatial relationships, eg, sculpture and Architecture to name to 'specific' examples, then generally you will find an inordinately high proportion will be male.
It's physiological....male and female brain development is different, eg, women will recover speech more easily following a stroke than men will.
Part of the brain 'hemisphere' devoted to creativity and spatial cognitive ability in a male functions as a back-up language skill centre in women, hence their stroke-recovery, and less-commonly becoming Architects.

This isn't a hard and fast 'rule', just a tendency....but it could even explain the lack of success in Motor Racing for women...

A lot of things are taken for granted....if a child is under about 10, he should NOT ride a bicycle in traffic....his brain has yet to develop an understanding of speed and distance and cannot 'judge' either.
Remember that bit when you're buying your children bicycles...

Man,I knew I could count on Jafo for a scientific medical answer. So your saying the lack of womens at WC is because their brains are different?

Throughout history there has been a bigger percentage of men than women in 'artistic' endeavours....it was often generally assumed to be social bias and conditioning...but since MRI scans, etc, other 'reasons' have come forward...

Texas does seem to have some large people. Houston #1 and Dallas #10 in fat people. What a shame.

Well, Florida beachs are not all T-backs and Hard Bodies for sure.

Though there are some with the ESH syndrom that wear things to the beach that should be against the law for them to even try on, let alone wear in public!

Such as when it take two beach towels worth of fabric to make one T-Back.

Don't worry about it, it taught me a lesson. I will be more guarded in the future. I have a tendency of being to friendly or open with people I like and I sometimes forget this is typing and not face to face. Like I said it's yesterdays news and I usually forget old news.
