I am not sure but, I guess I find it strange that someone could have my name (nick name that is).... I worked so hard to create it and to be so original

Just wondering how many others had that happen to them. Or better yet try to make a website based on your nick just to find it being used.

hmmmmmmmmmm.......... I still wonder...

Lecrayon, did you mark your golf ball. I might have found it, I also hit mine out of bounds.

To tell you the truth Ande, it was one out of those big buckets full of balls. Only that one ball got over the fence, together with a large piece of grass and the pin. So if you see a ball together with a clump of grass next to yours, it might be the one you are looking for

Or SpaceTheCake for that matter.

Golf, by the way, isn't the docile sport it seems to be. Played it a couple of times and always fail when it comes to 'chipping'. I just can't get myself to slice striaght through the earth, mangling all the grass.

I am an avid golfer, been playing since I was 13 years old, my brother and I used to spend hours chipping around our parents back yard. This came in very handy as that is one of the best parts of my game to this day. Last Spring I chipped one in for eagle on a par five (eagle is two strokes under par). I also made a birdie chip about two weeks later. I love the sport and am planning a trip to Florida in early January for an entire week of golf with the foursome I play in. I remember that when I was a teen I tried very hard not to damage the grass when I hit the ball. This of course is almost impossible to do and not the way you play the game anyhow. If you watch the pros on TV, they take some huge divots when they hit the ball. Part of golf etiquette is to replace your divots in the fairway and to repair your ball marks on the green. This gives them a much better chance of healing quickly. If they aren't repaired, they take a long time to heal.

But I don't see the pro's running after the clumps and bringing it back to where it belonged

That's because it's the job of their caddies to do that...!
You do sometimes see the pro pick up the divot and toss it to his caddy.
Us mere mortals don't have caddies so it's up to us to repair our own damage.
