OK, i am wondering something

about our nicknames, when you decided on you personal nick and made sure it was unique, did you ever find it somewhere else maybe a few months later and some one else is using it?

I woundn't say my name is unique but how many people would call themselves joetheblow????

Why Phillip? Did you find someone using your nick or are you just pondering with an inquisitive/curious mind?

My nick is a catalan word..."xerraire" means talkative. I lived in Catalunya, Spain for a year.

I came up with that nick for a chat group I entered, it was sure it was going to be unique, and I was in a hurry to think up one. The name stuck...its on my domain, www.xerraire.com
I've put it on my t-shirts...
its a part of me now for years.

Its pronounced not like you would think. The "X" makes a "sh" sound. Phonetically, I suppose you could pronounce it, SHUH-RYE-RUH

Catalan is a very beautiful language.

And that is how I took my nickname.

Ms. X...

/me thanks you for the pronunciation enlightenment, I had no idea how to pronounce your name.
It really is quite nice, has a ring to it.....

"Wombat" has been "Wombat" for quite some time.
It started at Duntroon ...... a comment on this particular Wombat's social behavior and diet.
Jafo?...."Chubby burrowing marsupial????" Chunky ... well, maybe. Chubby? NOT!
