Messgeboard..........I hate to complain, but.........

I don't like the changes............. where the hell is the back to msgbrd link? What was wrong with the way it was?
I'm not even gonna mention that it looks tacky.

Agreed. We need the link back.

I agree, but having post numbers and letting us scroll through pages, instead of opening the whole thing could be useful.

But why do all the topics start with a " ?

Put back the message board link leave the rest of the changes intact. Being able to jump thru pages in a thread is very handy.

I am sorry, but I think the Message Board now is GREAT!

I liked having the name and date in the bottom right corner. It gives you the element of surprise, by guessing who wrote a post, then scrolling down to realise it was someone else.

Maybe I should go outside more

ooh, suddenly the message board in IE has all those outstanding features of the message board in the skin browser!

Ryan8024 - I liked having the name and date in the bottom right corner.

that isnt happening to me, name is at the top in IE, like it always used to be

/me is still getting used to this

however, there is a "message board" link at the top of the page. it is a bit out of the way, but it is there.

as for how it was, did you ever open one of the long threads? once a thread passes say 100 posts it gets to be a real pain.

once a thread passes 1000 posts it is time to cry

on those threads you can either load all of it, in which case the page times out before loading, or you can only load the last few posts. this way is MUCH more helpful i think.

also only loading a "few" posts on each page is a LOT faster and easier for those of us on 56k modem connections

/me hopes the stray quotes are due to this being a work in progress, and not permanent

Ok, the stray quote has been removed. (note to self, quit coding late at night!)

And for those who resist change I have put the "Return to Message Board" link back. Though it was always there but just disguised as "Create a Post".

I like the new messageboard. It took a little getting used to at first as i wasn't used to clicking on the pages, or looking to see what page I was on.

The only thing I don't like is that the listed number of replies never matches the actual number of posts.
I find it irritating....

And also, my emoticons aren't working today, is it just me?

using IE, looking at your reply, the message board says there are 12 replies, and your post is number 12. the numbers match for me

smilies are working fine for me

Giving an example would help

Jam, the emoticons should work now.

Something that could prove to be annoying is how, whenever i move the mouse to the white-ish/grey-ish area just outside the box i'm typing this in, the word "Message" goes from being underlined to being bold, which moves the box down by about a millimeter. Not much, but I tried to click the submit button and I missed because it moved away from me .

T-Man, e.g. the listed replies for "Msgboard Chatroom Marathon......Elfkura" is 4203, what I see is 4198.

Thanks, pal

Ryan, what browser are you using?

I suspect I have an open tag somewhere. IE usually auto corrects this but Mozilla or Netscape may not.
Jam I see 4201.
