Why does every day have 'day' in its name?
Surely we know 'what' they are...

Why did light switches used to say "on" and "off" (recent ones are blank, thank goodness). People couldn't tell if the light was on or off before?

Hawaii is part of the Unites States and in the United States there is a thing called the Interstate Highway System. So there is a highway system in Hawaii. So therefor Hawaii is part of the Interstate Highway System.

Everyday represents how many day or days in the week that something accurs. So Every is not the name of the day.

Light switches do not have ON/OFF any more because many home now have a 2 way lighting system that would allow swicthes to be turned in 2 or more parts of the room. So one could be in the "on" position while another would be in the "off". When the other was turned "on" the twin would still say "off", of which, of course, it is obviously not at this case.

Paxx...

The reason that switches have 'on' and 'off' on them is so that BLIND people can tell, since they cannot see the light.

Trust me, I'm an Artitek....
