Here's something to think 'bout

Hi.
I am a Hindu and we believe in the cycle of life, that the soul is eternal and keeps getting sent to this world in different world until it attains Nirvana or oneness with its Creator.
I know not many people believe this, but if you did and if you were offered a choice, which form would you take up in the next life (other than human) and why?
Please specify the animal or bird or whatever (like a horse or a peacock instead of saying an animal or a bird)

I'am happy for you, but as it's not my belief, I wouldn't even speculate. It would be useless and worthless for me to do so.

I am in no way ashamed of what I believe, but I am sure that many will tell you that this is not the place for this type of thread. But you asked... I am not happy for you. It's not my belief also because it is simply not true, I will not speculate. It would be useless and worthless for me to do so as well. To value yourself as a lesser species than human (which is created in God's image) is very very sad.

As the rated pg has stated that this is not the place for this type of thread, and how wom and the rated pg also said that it is a waste of time, worthless, and useless, I find you both utterly closed and simple minded. Especially in a forum of art, witch should be in a group of people so open minded to imagine all kinds of new and exciting possibilities. I have seen other topics in here other then art. But as I believe that free speech is a gift just like if your Christian, God gave you the gift of choice, to choose as you will. Also did not God create every thing? Is he not in the trees, in all species of life? So to call them lesser is to put down God. I’m a person that analyses every thing, I leave my self-open to the possibilities until I find the truth myself. As for your question ashu modi I’m not sure, I have thought if it is possible that each animal has its own unique gifts.

I never meant this thread to hurt people's beliefs or their convictions, even the reference to me being a Hindu was done to set a backdrop to the question I asked.
I asked this question because I thought that maybe people who are into art would have dreams and aspirations that may not be possible to fulfil as humans, but I didn't anticipate this kind of response. I thought that this question would send people into fantasy flights and maybe I would get an insight into what others think about the feeling of living with no boundaries and limits, but I was wrong...

There is no harm with a discussion of religion, or various religions on a site such as this.
One important benefit is a broader education for all involved.
Wincustomize.com, though hosted in the US, has a 'population' of 400,000 plus, and I dare say, many of which are neither white, Anglo Saxon, nor Christian.
I for one value the opportunity for multi-cultural interaction that a site such as this affords....

All that aside, 'Religious discussions' are often fraught with disaster as one 'culture' claims it is the 'one True Religion', whatever and things degenerate into 'bitch this, bugger that...'....

As long as there is nothing 'racially inappropriate', then enjoy the debate...

Thin ice. I'm not walking on it. Which, I suppose, shows that a bloviating horse's butt like myself has its limit...

Not that I am upset about the question, it's a fair one.

lmao... that was a good one, wombat. "thing, thing a thong, thing out loud, thing out thtrong!"

but seriously, is this thong thing feasable? Is this something one should put in the 'pros' column for Hinduism? What about something more durable, like a recliner or a car seat?

Heh, hold the leather...

*cough*

I'm an ass...

I'm sorry, but I am thoroughly sick of hearing about Bryce putdowns:
Develop a little bit of talent with the program and show me the results...
And then complain all you want!

You do know that I have reported each and everyone of you as a 'possible terrorist sympathiser' and even as
you read this you are being targeted by the 'antidefamation' league and put into the list of "the next" subjects of immediaate elimination?

The answers are getting a bit out of hand, a THONG!!! Goodness gracious me, I was looking for answers more in the league of dolphins and trees, but maybe I expect a bit more than I should from people who prefer inanimate, lifeless objects than the utmost joy of life, any veggies out there???
