looks like this dock is closest to the original at the moment. looks very nice. are you using 128x128 icons here?
probably not as the maximized icons look jagged.

i still wonder what people would want to skin here ... there nothing more to change than the icons and the background

Will it be using icon files or png files for the items in the dock?

what about the bar along the top of the screen?

i often here that this mythical "finder" is a wonderful program.

but since i have never used a mac, i have no experience of it.

so i am curious if there is more to this than just the dock.

/me wonders what the point of a dock is when you have 15+ open windows

although i don“t use this program i know the finder bar on top can be done with ObjectBar (it derived from MacVision if i remember correctly).

moshi: i think some of the icons brad used in his screenshot were 72x72 explaining for some rougher edges. Changing the max. zoom size of the dock to 72x72 would help there

Woodbridge: the new Dock will allow use of png's, ico's, and tga's. A note on the icon importing, 32x32 icons that are imported (e.g. from applications) undertake various effects to make them look respectable at size 128x128, and also it should be noted that 32bit icons can be imported into the Dock under both WindowsXP AND 2000, where 32bit icons aren't even nativly supported! Pretty cool hmm?

yes, i am already a *serious* OB addict

two monitors here, OB on the bottom of one for my dual taskbar bar!!!

and a second bar on the top of my second monitor for controlling and accessing all my shortcuts, etc

i was just wondering if there was anything here beyond the dock.

Can't wait to give it a spin, but Brad, what is that WB skin your running in the screenshot, and what ever happened to that cool skin that looked a little bit like GalCiv that you had in one of the SkinBrowser screenshots a couple of months ago?

The WB skin is by Mike Bryant, and was created for Abit.

Win 9x/Me support is a possibility but is not planned right now. Support could be added for this OS by attaching the dock to the desktop, however the reason it is not planned currently is because attaching it to the desktop would take more processing power than it does to have it not attached to the desktop, and computers not running newer operating systems are often slower anyways, thus defeating the purpose. As is, the dock will run in windows 2000/XP.

There's really nothin gto skin. It's a dock. You just use icons, PNGs, and TGAs for it.

I seem to recall we have some sort of icon thing around here..

i don't know.. i think a copperdeck or borg dock would be awesome.. no zoom, of course.

can you drag and drop files onto apps -and- folders in the dock? will a docked folder pop up a hierarchical menu? will it combine with springfolders to pop open docked folders on mouseover?

just curious..
