Pay for this?

Pay for this?

After jumping through all these hoops - do you actually expect people to pay for this crap?

Get real!

Thx T-Man. I liked the Stardock t-shirts better. Kinda weird walking around with a shirt that says SKINNERS in big bold letters. I'll have to explain to every one that no, its not a Pr0n thing and no its not part of the X-Files Agent Skinner fan club

But what the heck, I need new a new shirt anyways, so I'll buy one.

You could have one that reads "Skinners Live in Vain" as a nod to Cordwainer Smith's classic SciFi story "Scanners Live in Vain" but nobody would understand it (well unless I bump into you folks at a WorldCon somewhere). Or perhaps, A Skinner Darkly as take on Phil K. Dick's "A Scanner Darkly".

(Man, I gotta stop wearing my virtual propellerhead hat in cyberspace...)

AngelEyez: There are probably over 300000 people with an account here. Only a small group are skinners. The rest of us just like the site. We interact on the message board, comment on skins, and learn from the questions everyone asks. One of these days I might feel confident enough to upload a skin(as soon as I learn a paint program). I do have three(Corel, PSP and photoshop).

Thanks for the replies guys, I do feel better now about not knowing how to make sins. I have said it before in my other posts as well, y'all are very helpful also, always willing to try and help ( although now I figure it is so you can "participate") Just kidding, honost! ;o) Alot of msg boards I don't partake in because there is a group, core members, click..that do all the talking and you never feel welcome. Thanks for making me feel welcome, as well as others I have sent here to get the programs and sins!!!

migellito - PKD is THE MAN. I'd love to see his Valis trilogy made into movies. They probably confuse the heck out of everyone. I still haven't seen Minority Report yet.

I'd rather see the Foundation Trilogy.....[Asimov]...

AngelEyez....the trick with merging into a 'click', or 'clique'.... Spell checker ...is to 'lurk'. Lurking is good, getting to know the ins and outs of Site politics, whatever, then, when you do pop into a conversation you're not playing 'off-side' [Soccer reference, how timely], with your size 10 firmly inserted in your mouth....

But social interaction...getting to know people, and they, you, is beneficial to all. I don't really understand the mind-set of the 'distant downloader' who apparently has only interest in the skins, themes, etc, and yet ignores the very creators of those items who surely could give enlightenment and assistance. I guess it's just 'each to his own'...

Okay Jafo, but ONLY the original 3 Foundation books, right? Not the later additions to the series. Just wanna make sure

Chris....why is it that Authors cannot count? They're literate, lucid, intelligent....but just fail to understand the concept of 'trilogy'...

All this talk of books has reminded me of a series of books I read many years ago. It was called the "Riverworld" series, and the first book was "To your scattered bodies go".
I loved that series, has anyone else read it?

No.

Boxxi, wasn't that series by Phillipe Jose Farmer? I remember reading that many years ago...great series!

Yep. That's Farmer. He also wrote a series of novels called The World of Tiers.

Yeah, that's him! I didn't know about "The World of Tiers" though, I shall look out for it. Thanks Chris.

Boxxi, they reissued those books as two trade size paperbacks within the past few years. I vaguely remember it had something to do with floating worlds/islands/landmasses and your action hero/protagonist having adventures among them.

Dontcha just love SciFi?

We need to remember that only a very small amount of the total visitors to this (or any) site use the message board. Whatever the reason is, it's a fact that most of the people that come here (maybe 90% or more) don't post in here. I'm sure a lot of them read some of this though...

I haven't read any scifi for years... now that you've mentioned it I kinda miss the other worlds...
