Need a couple volunteers

I'm looking for a couple volunteers to help me test some of the new acess levels.

I need a few people who use different accounts to purchase software from stardock as they do to logon to Wincustomize. With those accounts I would like some people who have purchased anything from Stardock and some who have purchased the Skin Browser. And last criteria, I would prefer citizens and apprentices.

Griffinme, Is your user level now set to what you expected it to be?

I gave the a try and received the email quickly with link. Link displayed proper info - level 4 - though I only have a single account.

Just checked both my accounts and they are both displaying the correct levels.

One quick question, at levels 3 and for I assume you can rate skins. How would I know if I can rate skins. I.e. where would one go to rate them etc. Just trying to see if I got the benefits that go with the levels.

Ok, I just have to be the difficult one. My shaw account shows level 2, my sait account shows level 4.

With help from DavidK, I changed my original email (shaw to sait), created a new account (shaw again) all so I could change my nick. Point? Well, my Wincustomize subscription was made with the original shaw account and shows on the sait account (I changed the email address if been able to follow this far). The new account shows no purchase but it does work with SB so all is well from there.

I don't know if any of this matters but it is different from what might have been expected.

T-man although my email seems to be on the blink at the moment I did receive all e-mails sent by the croos reference screen.

Thank you.

Oh...I just thought 'croos reference screen' was some new-fangled gizmo...

Strange, after reading all of this I decided to look at the new "view your profile" and it had me down as level 3, and not a 4. So I logged off and then back on, same thing. Is is supposed to update when you log off or is it just a glitch. I have allways used the same E-Mail address with Wincusto, and it has been over a year since I changed my E-Mail on record with Stardock.

OK, so far entered my email address and I am now waiting on the return email. OK got the email, OK went to the link within the email, the Cross Referencing Accounts worked fine! The message read:

Your customer information has been found

Your new User Level is _

Is this what you where looking for? Glad to help.

OK T-Man, did as you said. I get message as follows:

Your customer information has been found

Your new User Level is 2

PROBLEM!!!

I have purchased and own WindowBlinds (1 and 2) I also have purchased Object Desktop for 2 years now. And finally, I have purchased a WinCustomize Subscription.......shouldn't I be getting a Level 4 status??

Oh yeah! I also purchased Cursor XP. Shouldn't I show a little higher than level 2 ????

Ahhh T-Man, after rereading your original post I think I might know what I did wrong. The first line of your post says:

"I need a few people who use different accounts to purchase software from stardock as they do to logon to Wincustomize."

Now that I have re-read it I realize that I use the same email account for both.

However, this leads me to my next question:

How do I change my level to reflect the fact that I have purchased all those Stardock products and the WinCustomize subscription???

My expierence with this has good and bad news.

Good news: I am an ODNT, CursorXP, Drengin, and Wincustomize subscriber. When I was cross-referenced my level was set to 4.

Bad news: I sign into Wincustomize using SkinBrowser. I first went to WinCustomize (before executing the email link) using IE and the top right of the page said "Welcome Citizen C-Rat", when I executed the link in the email, I was presented a page saying that I had to first sign into WinCustomize or create an account to view the page I was attempting to. When I signed in again I was presented the page displaying my new level.

All in all it worked for me but was not perfect....

Hope the feedback helps.

John

Tried it C-Rat's way. Didn't work.
Looks like this isn't going to be resolved any time soon.

Oh well, I've gone this long with level 2 status, I suppose I can last a little longer.

Hmm, looks like I have a bit to look at. Must eat lunch first. After I have replenished my fuel system I should be able to make more sense out of all this.

Chef Garry - I guess Cross Reference may not be the best term as it is only unidirectional. To get both accounts at the same level Reference your Shaw account to Sait first. Then Reference Sait to Shaw.

Grog - You only get a level 4 if you have purchased a WinCustomize Subscription.

Jim - Did you get the access you expected?

Motion - It appears that you have multiple accounts with the same email. It only looked at one of those accounts which was not linked to your purchases. I made some code changes that should pickup the other account now. So if you will try it again it should work. Let me know if it does.

C-Rat - Thanks. I made some changes where that shouldn't happen again.

Grog - Did you cross reference to the account in which you purchased the subscription?

T-Man - it seems to have self-corrected. I just checked my profile (shaw account, the one I use) and it now shows a level 4. All is well.
