Need a couple volunteers

I'm looking for a couple volunteers to help me test some of the new acess levels.

I need a few people who use different accounts to purchase software from stardock as they do to logon to Wincustomize. With those accounts I would like some people who have purchased anything from Stardock and some who have purchased the Skin Browser. And last criteria, I would prefer citizens and apprentices.

Basically you input your email address of your account you used to purchase software. A validation email is sent, you click on a link, and the system attempts to cross reference the two accounts together and give your WinCustomize account the appropriate access based on what you have purchased.

ok, I can do that. Nothin's gone wrong so far today - well, not since supper anyway. FX2 hasn't screwed anything up so I'm invincible (I hope).

Hi T-man.

Logged in with both accounts. The one I bought OD with and the other I bought the Skin Browser with. Did not notice any difference between the two accounts. Both have only basic functions.

Ok. Here's what I need you to test. Click on the link above and enter in your email address in which you have purchased stardock products. Upon Completing the process your User Level should be either one of the following:

2: if you have not purchased any products
3: if you have purchased any stardock product
4: if you have purchase a WinCustomize Subscription

Tried the first one. When I clicked on the link it sent me to wincustomize and got a message there saying URL no longer valid.

Waiting for the other to come thru.

Have noticed that the website can tell the difference between the accounts. The one that has subscribed and the one that hasn't.

Ok. Got back the email for the account that is subscribed and it gave me a level 3.

The account that has purchased the OD but has no subscription got a level 2. A quick question does this effect the cookie?

Still haven't recieved the confirmation email after two hours. I don't get the wincustomize newsletter that I am supposed to either. I recently had my subscription renewed to OD and the confirmation letter came through to the same address. Does WinCust and Stardock use the same email server? Perhaps the one WinCustomize uses doesn't like Yahoo.

Yes, WinCustomize and Stardock use the same mail server. Perhaps Yahoo is blocking our emails.

If at anytime you were not logged onto WinCustomize that could have caused some problems. I put it some checks to make sure you are logged on so if that was it please try again.

Also, in on the 'Edit Account' page. I added a new link "View User Profile". Viewing your profile will show you your current user level.
