I definitely prefer the 3 columns. I run in 1600x1200 so that I can have the most info possible on screen, and the 3 column system works well for that. Didn't you already implement something that decides between 2 and 3 columns based on your resolution?

Do something about the table overkill? (fat chance of that happening)

Let me think, perhaps collapable boxes and such. Or a light version with minimal menu's and graphics.

I like having 3 columns, but it seems like the page is forced wider than it needs to be. It looks like all the content would fit at 800x600 if the logo and search bar didn't force a horizontal scrollbar. I run this PC at 1024x768, but I don't like to maximize my browser all the time. For the most part, I like the basic layout. I find this site easier to navigate than other skin sites.

Please leave it alone. Its great the way it is.

Other than full cross-browser compatibility (y'know, for the three or four of us who use Mozilla), it's just fine as-is.

the two column layout for lower resolutions was nice, but it didnt last long.

i tend to agree with crea that a "light" version would be useful for those of us who dont want to use up a load of screen space with menus.

another thing that would be nice is a link back to the front page, so i can go and check the news without having to edit the url i am pointing at manually (so i am lazy )

I really like the site as it is too! The things that I would change are:
1. When I go to "My Skins", I have so many uploads that the page takes about 15 minutes to load. This is most annoying when you just want to check your skin stats. Could our skin stats be on the opening page like it was at the old Skinz.org?

2. Comments opening in a seperate window is also not a good thing. On my slow connection this little window takes an age to load. Could comments and ratings be on the same page as all the other skin details?

3. Could Craeonics be made to stay in the basement for longer periods? I think that too much light is sending him over the edge!

I believe that apart from the things I mentioned, the site is GREAT! So much more accessible than the other skin sites.

i am not sure about point 3.
while it is true sunlight can drive you mad, if crae spends more time sleeping in the basement i may confuse him for a cat bed again.
given the problems that ensued last time, i may need to lay down stocks of marmite

I second Boxxi on points 1 and 2; Especially point 1 main page stats with a scrollable list would be awesome. Also I would make it a option that must be turned on in the account options instead of default, so that those with no uploads wouldn't see it or make it show up only if you have uploads....

As far as Cra goes can't we just set him up a puterf and connection in the basement so he doesn't have to leave?

Stats on the front page or on a seperate page, with no graphics, would be awesome.

if there was any kind of change WC could add a software section were all tthe programs that we use like windowblinds,objectbar,icon packeger and so on and the programd that are skinnable can be downloaded directly from here instead of going to diferant websites to do the downloading i hopee you understand what i'm getting at like make all stardock prodocks available here for downloading.

oh while i'm at it i'm looking for matching winamp skins for these windowblinds themes (Gems,NightVision Dark Aqua v0.1a)

how about putting the name of the last poster to a thread on the main message board page?

it would make it a lot easier to see if anyone has posted after you when looking over the idle times of the treads, and trying to remember when you last posted.

Also maybe a way to group skinz from the same suite so make finding them easier, Yea I know that's what Winstyles is for but it doesn't cover all the apps. And I'm thinking more of a grouping like when you look at one of my SlimT or Myopia Skin there would be a list below the skin with a download and view for all the other skins that use the same graphics.

I really like the way the site looks now. Ever since the tables started sizing themselves to fit the window it has been much better. The Easter theme is nice too by the way.Some things I think would be nice.

1) Faster is always better!
2) An Advanced Search page. I would love to be able to search more than one library for a specific topic. Being able to pick specific liraries would be better.
3) One of those cool counters like you have at Pixtudio that shows how many users are logged on. Or alternately a meter that would show what kind of load was being placed on the servers/bandwidth.
4) I like the Featured Skin idea. But I think a Featured desktop, maybe weekly, would be great. Maybe it could be put together as a .suite for those with Winstyles. Some of artisticly challenged folk have a hard time finding great looking walls and icons, etc. to go with those skins.
5) A table showing the lastest Object Desktop builds. Instead of having to check CM to find out WB 3.3 was posted today I could see it on WC.
