Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

I really hope we do get some more crayons again....

That's OK dracoform, I'll respect your cloak! Sorry. /me thinks, how rude of me!

Oh my, feline.... we have had similar, mirror like troubles with our cloaks and presentations...... I only could skim that thread a little (I am looking for something else) but I surely am going to take the time to read that one!

/me remembers all the long, sad lectures from her mother telling her "stop thinking so much, it puts people off!"

that may have had a lot to do with things.... I think, too, the website I frequent wishes there were more men.... So they kind of took that attitude, mixed it with a wish, and turned me from a girl to a boy (in their minds).

starone - Okay, I apologize Feline. You're not selfish with the chocolate. (It really was just a ruse to bring you out of hiding.)

/me had been feeling very out of sorts earlier, and that just didnt sit well

as for hiding, you lot need to remember that most of you are on a totaly different continent, and running on a different clock, so your hours arent my hours.

perhaps we should punish time and space for being so naughty by sending them to bed early without any chocolate?

GoodMorphing remembers all the long, sad lectures from her mother telling her "stop thinking so much, it puts people off!"

/me wonders if i should kidnap GM and take her to the chocolate planet on principle, just to prove her mother wrong. . . .

after all, thinking lots is a very attractive characteristic!

i have just re-read it, it is well worth the time

when you have found time to read it, i would be interested to know how "familiar" it all sounds. after all, i am not really used to meeting others like me out and about, so it is an intreaging experience.

*dracoform* was sort of hoping that you wouldnt

/me observes that dracoform is encouragable, and should be careful what she ask for

*dracoform* is quite happy to let the request stand

/me isnt quite so sure that i want to be around, just think of the blushes

*dracoform* is quite happy to have all the fun, and to drag feline along for the ride

/me strongly suspects that dracoform wouldnt be quite so confident when faced with the reality

Feline: body is only a transitory collection of molecules (which most here are unlikely to ever meet), while my mind has and will exist across many many bodies. So if for the sake of postings on this board my body is ignored, what is my gender, and does it matter?

I suspect the only reason it matters is that people react differently to me if I am perceived as male or female. But surely I am just me? A lot of people who have met me would agree that “me” is sufficient definition /me thinks now that feline has been looking into my mind even before I really got here and writing things all down.

I am thinking too much to make much comment now. One big thing is that I think you understand, then, that if one requires an anchor to be able to define the person and thus, the proper reaction... it follows that the reaction is abstract (and never proper), the anchor arbitrary (and oft-times whimsical), the person nearly irrevelant..... and then where does that leave the one????

I hate trying to cram thoughts into words... I am not good at that.

I have erased more here than I have allowed to pass....

Familiar... yes!

Dang... I have been writing and erasing and writing and erasing... /me wonders if feline is reading all the erasings as well?

/me isnt quite sure what is happening.

i thought i was just reading my own mind.

GM - I am thinking too much to make much comment now.

i am glad one of us is

i hardly seem to be thinking at all at the moment.

GM - and then where does that leave the one????

i have been trying to work that one out for many many years now.

GM - I hate trying to cram thoughts into words... I am not good at that.

/me knows your pain
i have the same problem with these sort of thoughts.

GM - I have erased more here than I have allowed to pass....

been there, done that, got the t-shirt

GM - Familiar... yes!

/me *releived*
i was starting to wonder for a moment if i was halucinating you

after all, when you have been looking for so long, it is at first hard to accept that you have really found what you have been searching for

Feline: I read the whole thread you referenced.

/me is a hopeless, innocent, flirter

I'll flirt with anyone with an interesting mind. You are right up there. You have one of the most interesting, original, minds I have ever met. All I have ever responded to was Feline or Dracoform. Your vessel is irrelevant in this context. As are the vessels of Elfkura, Goodmorphing, Doreen, Starone, Fuzzy Logic, etc. You are all wonderful people and it has been an extreme pleasure meeting all of you, whatever you may be on the outside.

When I was in college, I used to use any weird holiday as an excuse to become female on the outside. I was Columbia from Rocky Horror; I wore a pink knit sundress and pearls for an Ed Wood birthday party; cheerleader outfit for Halloween; yada, yada, yada. I caused a great deal of controversy amongst my friends It meant nothing. These characters were simply extensions of my total personality.

Life is way too short.

This stuff may have been way more info than anyone wanted to read, but it sometimes makes me sad that *so much* is put on the way we look on the outside. The outside doesn't matter (most of the time, there are, of course, major exceptions) But here...nah. I know this will be perceived as a little off, but I love you guys (generic). I totally enjoy coming here when I can and reading your stuff and sharing when I can.

/me shrinks back a bit, blushing furiously

/me feels a REALLY big blush starting

werewolf - cheerleader outfit for Halloween

*dracoform* wonders if now would be a good time to mention how fun cheerleader outfits can look?

something about that delicious melding of althleticness, innocence and naughtyness

werewolf - Life is way too short.

yes, but existance isnt!

werewolf - This stuff may have been way more info than anyone wanted to read

/me doesnt mind
it is always interesting to learn new and interesting things. also, why be ashamed to be you? if you cannot be you here, then God help you, for you really do need it

werewolf - but it sometimes makes me sad that *so much* is put on the way we look on the outside.

i know what you mean

werewolf - The outside doesn't matter (most of the time, there are, of course, major exceptions)

what? i thought you liked my tail!

especially that thing i try to do when you think you have checked all of my other limbs

werewolf - But here...nah. I know this will be perceived as a little off, but I love you guys (generic). I totally enjoy coming here when I can and reading your stuff and sharing when I can.

/me votes for more sharing by werewolf!!!

/me sees a way out of the mega blush

/me grabs werewolf for a group hug

if i bury my face into your shoulder while hugging, no one can the blush

*dracoform* notices that you can see the blush all along felines back and tail to!

Big enough for everyone!!

When a werewolf blushes, you can only see it on the tip of its nose

"yes, but existance isnt!" Exactly. That's why you (all inclusive) should live your life the way *you* want, not the way society expects. There are, again, exceptions. At your job, at your church, etc.

There are a couple of books called The Ringworld and The Ringworld Engineers...One of the characters, Louis Wu, has been taking a life prolonging drug which has allowed him to become 200 years old. He has certainly grasped the concept. There are other examples I'm sure. The Highlander series for one. McCloud (Mac Loud, Macloud, McLoud (no, not Dennis Hopper)) is ageless, it seems.

Societal implications aside, I would really like to see what's happening around this world in 200-300 years. Maybe tolerances for variety would be higher. There's always hope

Hmmm, wasn't McCloud Dennis Weaver? You know, cowboy hat and cactus drawl...

You can't tell what a Fuzzy is on the outside. Sometimes difficult to see inside - one minute I can be one thing, and the next something else. I doubt if GoodMorphing's radar could get through this fuzzy exterior to my equally fuzzy inside.

Interesting question:

Who are you?

I don't mean names, what you call yourself, what someone else calls you, a title, a job etc. Can anyone answer?

Prize available for the best answer...

won't be the best answer, but I'm a DAD and damn proud of it

Fuzzy: yeah, yeah, Dennis Weaver. Sorry *Totally* different movie.

*dracoform* votes that fuzzy becomes the new Kat!

/me feels a need to point out a few points to dracoform
* fuzzy isnt going to know what you mean
* fuzzy would have to agree before hand
* samantha was a cat, not a dragon
