Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

I don't think so, if you look at joetheblows thread regarding time in NYC, you will see that the subsequent posts from different time zones show the time from the server that they were posted, not the time local to the time zone.

/me shrugs, it was just an off the wall observation in an off the wall thread so i could reference an off the wall....ummmm...stageplay/film/cult

/me selflessly volunteers to kidnap JavaBrain, but ONLY if fuzzy will let me have the 2000th post

. . .

actually this should probably be the ransom demand, given the likelyhood of payment

Fuzzy Logic - Oh no, she's back...

/me throws one of the spare cusions at fuzzy logic
now that is hardly a suitable reaction for someone who has been busily helping to get me to the 2000th post!

When this thread gets close to 2000 something weird will happen to stop us posting, and you know who will be responsible...

The only chance we had of having a go at the 2000 was to 'eliminate' KarmaGirl. Her being away seemed like the perfect chance to race to 2000 unhindered...

Not far off 1900 though...

just wanted to stop in for a moment and say hi. I'm building some doors which open up and then push back (slide in). Never have done this type of door before. I've seen them and I think they look cool. So I am going to try this with the doors which will be hiding the TV.

The other boards are getting a bit depressing.

Sounds interesting. Hope they work OK when done. Must be nice to be able to build things like that. I can do that sort of stuff but most of the time can't be bothered. I definitely lack motivation.

I need to run a power cable up the garden so I can use an elecric heater in my greenhouse. Means drilling through the wall - got the tools but haven't got round to it yet. Must get it done well before the first frost comes or my cactus collection will be turned to mush.

werewolf, I have those type of doors on my TV cabinent. They are very nice. We have an oak armoire that has big claw feet. It's nice to close it up and not see the TV. Unfortunately, it doesn't have enough room in it for the surround sound system, so that sits on top. Too much stuff to pile in one place!

So, I was amazed that I got back this morning and that this board is *still* not at 2000! It better be by the end of the week!!!!

KarmaGirl: So all your wires connecting everything to the main amp are just hanging out behind the cabinet? So...you need a really nice home theater cabinet custom built?

Werewolf, what size of cabinet would I need? Let me see, there's a 32"W/S TV, DVD, VCR, Satellite receiver, CD player, 5.1 decoder, 2 equalizers, 2 integrated stereo amps, 1 stereo power amp, 1 stereo pre amp, and 6 speakers...the wiring is like spaghetti. That whole lot takes up all my room, but why not...

fuzzy: Lol, I've got pretty much the same setup without the 2 integrated stereo amps. Spaghetti wiring??? I totally understand I built a wall unit for mine. Took down the wall which was there and built a new wall for housing all that stuff, built in. The wiring is behind a door at the back of that wall for easy access.
