Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

Why fasten you up with them if you will just eat them?

I'm in the experiment if it involves chocolate!

Wolf, my hatred of the Eagles is outshined only by my hatred of the Cowboys I'm a Redskins and Jets fan, only been in the Philly area about 7 years (and it scares me that I'm saying "only" 7 years).

Feline, American Football is basically just men in a lot of padding running around a field chasing each other ... and a ball. Like all sports, you don't just jump in and enjoy it; it builds up over years.

Four days until my fantasy football draft!

so lets see

Fuzzy Logic is happy to let me handcuff him, and JavaBrain is looking to take part in any experiments involving chocolate

/me thinks this is going to require some careful consideration

first, lets deal with fuzzy and his requests

/me roots around in the basement for a few moments

ahha! some handcuffs for fuzzy

/me secures fuzzy with several feet of chain and some padlocks

right, now that the chocolate is safe, at least for the moment, onto planning the experiment.

so, we were considering is a human wearing only an ankle length furr coat furry?

however, we really need more chocolate involved to make sure JavaBrain is happy with her role in the experiment.

/me notes chocolate handcuffs make a mess on furr

so the logical solution is to remove the furr coat before applying the chocolate handcuffs

um...

/me ***blush***

JavaBrain, i am not quite sure how to put this

reminds me of that observation in buffy. american football is just rugby, but the players have to put on a load of padding before playing

now and then i watch bits of sport, but not often.

i used to watch a lot of snooker at uni, normally about 1am for some reason

i have just never had enough interest to get involved in any of these things, and so dont really see the point i supose.

also they keep on replacing all the TV programs i want to watch with sport, which doesnt help to impress me >

and they do say flattery will getcha...

no where! hehe

/me is still lost about what is going on in this thread w/ this furr coat & choc handcuffs? (sounds kinky though)
/me suspects flattery gets you different places with different people

as for what is going on, lets see:

chocolate - well, most of us seem to quite like it

handcuffs - how else am i to get the 2000th post?

furr coat - trying to work out what makes someone fury

in the grand tradition of efficent multi-tasking we are sort of trying all of them at once

as for kinky, wouldnt we first have to define normal? could be tricky in this place
Reply #1735 Top
Ugh... "furr coat" and making someone "fury"... I just can't take this anymore. Feline, I've mostly gotten used to your own personal style of grammar and spelling, but please... "fur coat" and "furry"!

Sorry. Trying to keep the same files properly up to date on my home computer, my work computer, and my friend's computer in Sweden is just making me cranky :-/

that's ok

you will find that i havent been consistant on furry and fur, since i am not sure how many letters each wants.

as for file updating, have you tried the free version of powerdesk from ontrack? it has a file syncronizer program which is quite good. however you are likely to require a network connection between them

Kinky? I consider my self to be normal, and everyone else lacking imagination

hmmm...so I *had* a fur coat, now I don't? *blush*
/me thinks it's a little drafty in here.....

Well, I guess it's OK as long as I have chocolate.

Glen Eric Reed...bet you can't get a Redskins season ticket, snigger. Last I heard there was a 10year waiting list.

Of course if you want to ga watch the Eagles...

for 'ga' read 'go' - this keyboard is the next thing to get 'broken' on my pc.

Fuzzy... Given the 3.5-hour drive to DC, I probably wouldn't want a Redskins season ticket anyway! And I think you'd have to pay me to sit in the crappy Eagles stadium. I might go to a few games when they open the new one, though.

Philly sports fans just love me ... my cubicle at work is adorned with 3 Lakers pennants from the last 3 championships and 2 Devils pennants for '95 and '00. Unfortunately, it's been a while for the Redskins.. and even longer for the Jets

feline... My file-organization efforts have mainly been e-mail and floppy disk. Today, I just consolidated 18 files into 1, so that should help things a bit! I'll have to take a look at powerdesk for future use....

what, even me???
/me **giggle**

/me wonders if the rumors about men being born innocent are really true

JavaBrain - hmmm...so I *had* a fur coat, now I don't? *blush*

/me thinks bluching humans are just *SO* cute

KarmaGirl thinks it's a little drafty in here.....

/me see's an obvious solution to this problem
cats are warm and cuddly
. . .
/me realises dracoform seems to be typing again

JavaBrain - Well, I guess it's OK as long as I have chocolate.

at least there is plenty of that
/me produces several boxes of little chocolate cones with white sprinkles on them

KarmaGirl thinks it's a little drafty in here.....

Better solution - cover her with chocolate...

/me goes away to try and forget about that one...

Feline, those "little chocolate cones with white sprinkles on them" are called Sno-Caps. I love those things! I eat them instead of popcorn at the movie theater.

Hmmmm... so now I have no fur coat and I'm covered in chocolate...this has been an interesting day....

i would recormend using zip files with directory structures in them. a lot better for moving several files at once from place to place.

one problem with this is that the zip files get bigger than one floppy disk.

i have used disk spanning a lot, but it is slow, and if any disk gets a bad sector then you loose the whole zip file.

my solution to this problem is to use a split program, which chops the big zip into floppy sized files. this way if you loose a single floppy you only need to retransfer the single lost part. much saver!

ahha!
/me *genius mode on*
we can make you furry.
all we need is a load more chocolate, and several boxes of snow caps.

first coat you in lots of warm chocolate, and then coat you in show caps, all points outwards.

that looks just like a very wet cat's fur

Zip files get very cumbersome very fast. The files I've been working with are just Word files, so size hasn't been an issue anyway. Just organization. And if my writing partner doesn't balk on the single file I lumped everything into, then I'm fine for now.
