Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

Fuzzy Logic - Didn't work on 1000, won't work on 2000

yes, but T-Man has had a lot longer to work on his scripts since then

Yes, but he doesn't know how to tickle...
ahha, so the ability to tickle is the deciding factor then?

/me is in with a very good chance this time

after all, all the practice i am getting, combined with the tip of my tail makes me a good tickler

omg! i havent been online in a few months (computer problems) and i come back and this thread is, like, so long! and i have no idea what is goin on. i guess i will have to read more of it

werewolf, that poem:
The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

who wrote it? i know i have read it before.

Hmmmm, groovin, did you bring chocolate back with you?
Does anyone know what's "goin on"?

You are too logical. This is total imagery.

Grooving_girly: Carl Sandburg wrote that.

OK, it's 97 degrees in the shade, there's a storm moving in soooooo slowly, as such the humidity is 73%. It's nasty out there.

Ok, home depot finally brought the right lumber, back out to the salt mines

werewolf....I feel for you. We have built too much of our house. What a pain. (Especially if it isn't even your own house!)

My patio door is rotting...can I have some of your lumber?

KarmaGirl - Does anyone know what's "goin on"?

yes, i do

several things are happening at once.

the current high points are:

* experiments to find out just how ticklish a tied up JavaBrain is

* initial manovering to get the 2000th post

* chocolate, cookie, crumpet and buiscuit hunting (not much new there)

* lots of distracting ourselves

in a sence, things havent changed much since you were last here *giggle*

/me *throws cusion at werewolf*

i may be logical (comes of programming computers) but i have lots of imagery floating around in my minds.

i just tend to think in different terms to most poetry things i have encountered.

how come groovin_girly turns up just as the race for the 2000th post is starting???

so groovin_girly, are you also trying for the next magic post number?

and how ticklish are you?

/me *AAAAGGGGHHHH*

last night at 6pm (2 minutes before i go home) the helpline tell me a program i have inherited is crashing on site.

the person who wrote it has been gone for over a year, and i am the one left to maintain it.

next i learn that the program has been crashing since monday morning, and they want it fixed urgently. so of course they wait 3 days before telling me >

next problem, this is just about the most robust program we have ever produced. it has to find every known error in its input data and report it, so no input data should EVER crash it.

so this morning i started looking at the problem.

this program crashes on this site. however the identical same program works on 5 different machines with the same input and same data.

i cannot reproduce this problem anywhere else. and my initial debug shows the program is crashing at random on this one machine.

it looks like the machine is at fault, but this doesnt get me anywhere, since site really need the program to work.

/me *AAAAGGGGHHHH*

i need something to take my mind off this horrible mess.

/me throws kitty kat some chocolate...

feline...you are lucky, I've spent all this week looking after an ageing A/S400...

What you need is some chocolate, a good tickle and a lap to curl up in - you will feel so much better for it.

And my solution? I'm about to devour a huge meat and potato pie, the crust of which will be almost black due to the amount of Henderson's Relish I will put on it...YUMMY!!!

N.B. For those of you outside the UK - you can't get Henderson's Relish hehe - it's too good for you anyway...
What is Henderson's Relish?

/me pouts since Fuzzy thinks that he is too good for her....
Hey, I didn't say I was too good for you...just the relish (snigger). Henderson's Relish is a bit like Worcester sauce only much better, more tasty, less tarty and seriously addictive and not for sharing...plus it's made in my home town.

The pie was good. I call it 'idle pie' because you are so full afterwards you don't feel like doing anything...

ps. love the pout...first I've had in ages.
