Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

My favs???...Hmmm...all kind of chocolate...!!!

There used to be this one that was a roasted coffeebean coated in chockie.  very, very good.  But you needed a toofbrush 'cause the bits stuck in your teeth.  I also like the chocolate cups with a bit of brandy in.

When i was little my sister had a jar with a chocolate coated ant in.  We looked at it until it was a pile of chocolate and ant dust.

It's as good as chocolate.

It is indeed, meditative music is fine for a quiet morning, just makes your day. I also like instrumental music by Yianni (Santorini,Nightingale) or Vangelis Papathanasiou (1492 Conquest Of Paradise,Twenty Eight Parallel,Aquatic Dance) or Savvas Savva (The Island) or Enya (Boadicea,Only Time,May It Be) or Era (The Mass,Misere Mani) or Enigma (Cross Of Changes,Return To Innocence) or John Williams (Last Of The Mohicans) or Clint Mansell (Requiem For A Dream) or Howard Shore (Foundations Of Stone,Minas Tirith) or Richard Clayderman (Ballade Pour Adeline,Memory) or Crimson Glory (March To Glory). Well that sums up my favs get up tunes.

... it's how I would fight my wars.  I would take away everyone's bullets and lock them in a room then i would play:

http://www.invinciblemusic.com/Meditative_Pachelbel_Ocean1.htm

and then:  http://www.invinciblemedia.com/NATURE_MEDITATION1.htm

and maybe even:  http://www.invinciblemusic.com/Gregorian_Chant_1.htm

and then I would tell them that even if they don't know the words they can appreciate the creation for what it is.  They can appreciate the creation of mother earth and honor it.  And then I would tell t hem to go create something like it.   Make a thing of beauty.  It can be music, or art, or a skin, or an act of kindness.  They should do this instead of creating bombs and fear.  And they should do it at least one time every day they live.

There is one gradiose mix by Paul Oakenfold somewhere reflecting this exact words...i think it's called Gamemaster.

....Googling....Found it:

Paul Oakenfold - Gamemaster:

Embracing the goddess energy within yourselves..
will bring all of you to a new understanding and value of life.
A vision that inspires you to live and love on planet earth.
Like a priceless jewel..
buried in dark layers of soil and stone.
Earth radiates her brilliant beauty..
into the caverns of space and time.
Perhaps your are aware of those who watch over your home.
And experience it as a place to visit and play with reality.
You are becoming aware of yourself as a game master.
Imagine earth restored to her regal beauty.
Stately trees seem to brush the deep blue sky.
Clouds billow to form majestic peaks.
The songs of birds fill the air..
creating symphony upon symphony..
The goddess is calling for..
and honoring..
of what she allows to be created..
from the core-mystery of the blood.
Those who own her planet are learning about love.

back to chocolates... since we belong to different countries and chocolate products certainly differ (except of course for those imported), could you name the most delicious LOCALLY PRODUCED chocolate you've ever tasted?
None is locally produced, it is only locally produced if the cocoa beans are ground there.

The best locally molded chocolate here is Haven's, in Portland.

We have a chocolate factory in this little East Texas town called Mary of Puddin' Hill. They have some of the most amazing choco sculptures and the most marvelous fudge.

No cocoa trees grow in Cyprus,so we have to homegrown products.Only imported ones here.

Everything good is chocolate in spirit.  Therefore everyplace is a potential motherload of goodness.  *chomps on a chocolate covered macadamia nut*

gm wanders off to revisit the baby volcano and the filigreed staircase and to check that OC's old oak tree still has the warning sign nearby.  Gotta check if the furry tests are still fresh and whether the forest is quiet or not.  And if anyone is using the chocuzzi at the moment.

I'm not sure what is local or not.  The macadamia nut is, for sure.  But I surely do speculate that the only localness in the chockie is the good people who stir up the treats and the little building they stir it up in, and the island peeps who partake and the peeps worldwide who imagine that they are chomping on 100% hawaiian sungrown chockie covered macadamias from the yummy chocolate forest.

locally produce... well i mean something that is exclusively manufactured and sold in your place.

In the morning I have coffee... sometimes hazelnut, sometimes something chocolate enhanced.  I save most of the last cup and pour it in a big tall glass with a lid.  I add some sugar (not very much) and more water.  Then I chill it all day long and  have iced coffee (for cheap!).  That's pretty local since I make it right here in my kitchen.  It's pretty exclusive too... since I drink it all up myself and don't share.

We have three chocolate producers here..but they import the raw coco...we have Purdy's (my Favorite) Rogers and Bernard Challabout. Vancouver Island is also getting to be pretty well known for it's local wines and minibrews. We also have SaltSpring Island Coffee... which is locally roasted and ground, but not grown....other things are locally grown and no doubt exported from the gulf islands as well

We don't have a chocolate producer locally, but we do have Bassetts. You know, Liquorice Allsorts, Jelly Babies etc... Prefer chocolate myself

Does anyone here have a coffee grinder? Just curious if there are other people who like to grind coffee or cocoa while still fresh!
Yup - grind ours everyday! Perfer Kona...shipped from the Big Island from local producers there.
