Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

Wow...at least it is something good..I needed that after the day I had! When i got my new 'puter..it came with Norton AV installed, sio waited for the trial to expire and then decided to uninstall it and use something else. Thought it would be easy, after all, it has an uninstaller! Nope...it scrambled something called "bits"...then had to try to reinstall SP2...but updates kept telling me it was already installed...then the whole shebang just seized up and I had to do a complete system restore!!! There went my entire day!!

Yup, NAV does not like being uninstalled. I did a clean install of XP to get rid of mine. I'm now happily running on AVG free

Stopping by to see what's up. I have 7days left of College then I'm done!!!!!

After that, I'm going to try to get back into things I've put off to the side for too long.

Mine accepted to uninstall only after special deal to re-install newer version!

Thank god I'm not the only one with propblems with NAV! I wa sbeginning to think I was just plain jinkxed with this new 'puter! It's bad enough that the new Vaio doesn't come with restore discs..now you have to make them yourself, which I did...and then when I needed it yesterday..it said that a file was corrupt on the disc (make the same day I got the 'puter)! Luckily for me, it actually gave me the screen with the options to recover from the machine itself or try the disc again. And the new 'puter dosen't let you pick and choose which of the pre-installed stuff you want ...it just throws it all back, so had to sit there to catch it before it automatically started to do the win updates as I had to make sure that NAV was uninstalled before any updates were installled!

How is AVG? I am trying Advanti at the moment...have a subscript to McAfee, but it wouldn't install properly (probably due to the NAV, problem), but had the Advanti trial on my firelite drive, so stuck it on before I hooked up to the net.

I believe Sony Vaio's got a hidden partition with options to restore machine on itself no matter what other software problems occur. So that should help.

NAV 2005 uninstalled fine when it came preinstalled on my new Gateway.

Gateways have a (not hidden) recovery partition as well, as a feature to have restore discs burned.

Guess I should try to burn those recovery discs again...the 'puter is actually running much better now...she was getting a little sluggish!

Good.  That means the spank detectors are working.

*wanders in for a look around*

it is possible that what i have just done is naughty, but in the unlikely event that this is true it is OK, since i will claim that fuzzy and GM made me do it!

so, since they are equally responsible, and are also more senior people will have to spank them first, and by the time that has been done they will be so tired that all they can do is feed me chocolate!

i resisted the temptation to do "it" for many months, but today i gave up fighting it and just did it. you never know, it might even do some good.

What ever it was... ***SPANK*** ***SPANK*** ***SPANK***

No time for chocolate feeding, it's Tuesday pub night - be back around midnight

*feline knows how to make sure that fuzzy stays around and feeds me chocolate...* *innocent expression number 28*

as for the spanks, that was forth right of you, spanking yourself like that! *surprised*

It was very naughty of you to run off with the nurse's uniform, we've had quite a few in here who would like to borrow it.

Darn, without that uniform, they had to settle for the chocolate coating instead...
