Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

Glen, we drag race as a hobby. My 40' x 80' pole contains:
1 enclosed car trailer
1 open deck trailer
2 Camaros (1 is a race car, the other for parts)
1 Beretta GTZ that by hubby just won't part with
1 Dodge One ton Duelly (gotta' pull those trailers with something)
1 Race truck (hubby's brother's)
1 Mercury Capri that is being made into a high tens drag car (my Dad's)
1 S-10
a few snowmobiles
a tractor
about 5 extra engines
4 trannies
a few cams and other parts
and, my recently purchased Trans Am with a 305 in it.

So, it is quite natural to watch car races on TV when we're not out working on the cars

I was born in a major metropolitan area. I've owned three cars, only one of them American. I've never been within a hundred yards of a tractor. Hence, I know nothing about drag racing or anything of the sort.

Of course, we won't talk about the few months I lived in Michigan. There was nothing on TV but NASCAR, so I did spend a year following that. But I recovered quickly

I live in Michigan
We are more into Drag Racing than into Nascar, though. And Drag racing is much more fun to do than to watch. I've never cared that much about TV in general. I haven't watched TV at all for the past 4 days. Usually isn't anything worth watching. I rather be outside doing something, rather than inside sitting on my butt watching TV.

I just read my post above, and that should say 40' x 80' Pole Barn (forgot the Barn part). The tractor is actually mainly used to mow our 2 acres of lawn. Although, it could be used at the track to tow my daughter's Jr. Dragster around when she gets old enough.....but I'll probably just buy a golf cart to do that...

Hey Doreen - where do you get the Jamaican Blue Mountain?

There is one of these in every Mall over here by me, but I have to hop from Mall to Mall to find the shop that has it in cuz they sell it out soooo fast! (I usually end up having to order it in one of their stores to get mine by the time I get there)
but they are the only ones that carry it by where I'm at...

I looked it up on the web - it's not the cheap stuff huh?!?! I'll try ordering some after I finish my latest Starbuck's giftpack Thanks for the recommendation.

Y'know, I've just never been crazy about Starbucks coffee. To me, it tastes more like liquid coffee grounds than actual coffee, if that makes any sense. Everyone got excited when they started getting Starbucks coffee at work. Of course, the pot still doesn't get cleaned out, so I wouldn't go anywhere near that stuff even if I LIKED Starbucks.

But I digress.

Oh, wait... no I don't. This thread is all just one big digression anyway!

Too bad I dont' like coffee.

...

would anybody care to disgress into another direction, making it possible for me to bridge an uncreative phase with some talking?

But, bananafactor, does your significant other like ice cream and chocolate on you?

Hey...don't blame me....you stepped onto this board! And, you mentioned chocolate...say no more!!!!

Coffee...chocolate...ice cream....sounds like a nice Milk Shake to me!

/me shouts out for waiter:

please, I'd like a milkshake just like the one that person over there has. Yes, the person with a head looking very much like one of these strange lamps. thanks.

Now, what did you say, Java?
Ah, yes, chocolate. Well, at the moment I can neither confirm nor deny this, as I do not currently have any significant other to ask about their likings concerning chocolate

By the way it *is* a nice Milk Shake!

Java be daring! go for it! click on that button!
/me chants
Go for it!
Go for it!

besides we don't know if they serve Jamaican Blue Mountain in Heaven or not, so you need to get it all here, right now!

JavaBrain - Must...resist...online....ordering....JMB....must resist.....MUST RESIST....SOMEBODY TAKE MY KEYBOARD AWAY!!!!!!!!!

now now, if i get distracted and start relocating whole keyboards i am never going to finish crafting Elf's kneckless.

however, i do have a range of alternate plans:
a) baricade you in the kitchen with the makings of chocolate rice cripsy crunchies
b) get your other half to lock you in the bedroom, and experiment with chocolate to take your mind off of coffee
c) kidnap you my prefered plan, since i am going though a selfish phase, and this would be a faster conversational situation than this thread

/me thinks a neckless made of JBM beans would look cool...

Checking back in, and I see the thread is alive and well.

Today is Rob and my anniversary mark for 1 year, June 11. We're more than 20,000 miles apart, but at least we had the phone to keep us in contact. For that, I am grateful .

I'm working mostly now, helping my mother out with some company work, and hopefully I'll get back to my studying. I'll check back in later. For now,

I wish all of you well .

Elf, Congrats on the one year!! My hubby and I have been married for over 6 years and been together for over 8. It's hard to remember back to our one year anniversary together....

Doreen! Don't temp me, man! That page is still up just waiting for a credit card number! Man, that stuff sounds good!

Well, Feline, I could use a vacation, so if you kidnap me, make sure it is to somewhere with a nice beach and palm trees!

Bananafactor, sounds as if you need to find a significant other in order to find out the answer about the chocolate.
Doreen, a necklass made out of coffee beans wouldnt last long

/me was aiming for a more perminant reminder of us

something more than 34 seconds perhaps?

as for Bananafactor, we could coat her in chocolate syrup, top off with some white chocolate sprinkles, and see what happens

/me is all in favour of chocolate coated humans

/me innocent expression number 38

JavaBrain - Well, Feline, I could use a vacation, so if you kidnap me, make sure it is to somewhere with a nice beach and palm trees!

/me considers . . .

i am not an expert on local geography, but i have heard of the hiyian (<- 4th attemp, not getting there ) islands. small, tropical, beaches and palm tree's

thing is they sound so commercial, i am not sure i could find a good book shop. also i wouldnt want to ruin your reputation by having you seen in such a place in the company of someone other than your hubby.

this kidnapping this is more complex than you might think

/me goes looking for a chocolate pin to stick into an atlas

oh jusss go for it, you work hard for the money right? now go enjoy it and turn it into more then just paper, turn it into some goooood coffeeeeee hehe
Mmmm mm mmmmmmmm
actually if you're smart you just drink one cup a day to enjoy it and ration it, drink house blended stuff if you need more coffee then one cup throughout the day, that way believe it or not, even though it is expensive it last so long it really balances out the same in the long run right?
mine last cuz I don't over do it, (I really just have one cup a day)
