Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

Elf, yea I've been a target of one person. I've called WorldComm to see what they could do. But they can't do anything unless it's a death threat basically. So, it's up to me to take it in my own hands over thet net evilgrin.

Hey, hey....

Before this one gets out of hand, know this. Some people are all talk. Chances are the person on the other end doesn't know who you are. Anyone honestly think those are serious? If so, I'm probably number 1 one that hit list.

Seriously, people. If someone does that, ignore the person or whatever. Let your supporters decide who to believe or not to believe. Everyone has a different personality. Everyone has a different perspective. No one is right. No one is wrong.

Feline: I'm on XP Pro and have no idea what gvim is

I'll look for tweakXP. How is it that Excel made it onto the list of possible editors and Word did not?

the reason i asked had anyone actually read all of this, is that now and then i come across posts from people who have been shocked by the sheer size of this thread.

those posts give the impression that most people never read this thread, so i got to wondering who does read it

werewolf - I'm on XP Pro and have no idea what gvim is

vim is an increadibly powerful editor under UNIX, and gvim is the windows version of it. it has rather a vertical learning curve, but when you get to know your way around, it is a very potent tool.

werewolf - I'll look for tweakXP. How is it that Excel made it onto the list of possible editors and Word did not?

that is very strange. when ever i have installed a recent version of office, it has always added in word as an editor, but never excel.

werewolf, have you tried the new "Stardock Central" program yet?

i am confused by the list in the object desktop tab. comparing the list there with the list in component manager, they dont seem to match up very well. i am wondering if this is just me.

also, do you have a vertical scroll bar when required on your machine?

How in the hell do you keep that stupid little window from appearing? I've got CrazyBrowser and have added the url to it's list of pop-ups to block, but it's not working. I hate these dang things!!!

Not just you. You have to change the settings to accept beta. Also some programs do not show up yet.

feline and GM, I answered some of your questions on the thread about Stardock Central, but the SDC lists are not populated completely, and there a few known issues (like the version numbers, CursorXP, etc.) This is an beta version and is meant more as a "first glimpse" than the final deal.

I'm really excited about Stardock Central. I've had a lot of influence in it, so it's like seeing a vision become reality. And a cool reality it is!!!!
