Well, I think I am about ready to try the menu thing again. However, another problem popped up. I notified Stardock but haven't heard back yet. I seem to be getting overlapping fonts in Jasic and on the cube on the tray bar. I de-installed WB to 3.15 and everything was fine. Then installed from that point up to the new RC builds and everything was fine. Then I just got through installing the latest RC build and the problem has returned. In addition, the buttons where the tools showed up and were skinned in Jasic are now no longer skinned with my buttons. Sure would be nice to have things back to normal again.

Don't worry about the bed bit, my husband has already threatend to flatten me a couple of times.

so far rc4 seems ok on this win98 machine. one of the earlier builds took out all the menus, but that is the only significant problem i have had so far.

as for flattening people, the solution is simple.

you sleep on top of husband (where its safe), and cats get to sleep where ever they want to

they just do

based on the classic theme's start menu, just make the items "shortcut items" in the "behaviour class", and set the shortcut to point at a folder.

Thanks feline, you saved the day. Made a note out of what you told him. Something else to learn and look into (may have been doing it all along not knowing exactly what I was doing - usually learn by experimenting but don't ask me what I've done after I've done it - if any of that makes sense).

Might look in your closet on the floor or hidden in a corner. Things usually turn up here in those locations. They never seem to stay on a hanger. Slippery little dudes (especially cloaks).

Well, got my tools skinned back in Jasic (didn't even do with windowblinds, duh!), but I still have the font issue being off in Jasic and also on the cube on my tray. Sure was happy about getting my skinned buttons back. Now, I wish I could get the font issue taken care of. I have no problem if I go back to version 3.15 but the new rc's bring the font problem back? Maybe if I do enough rc's it will correct (I hope).

Haven't done a whole lot of message surfing lately. Just when I think things have simmered down a bit, things start jumping. Sure would be nice to have a quiet day (if there is such a thing).

How are you coming on your DesktopX bit? Don't give up on it. All this stuff is a lot of fun (and work), but the awards of self-fullfilment is great (even if no one else may like it - referencing me not you, okay.).
