Help With Object Bar 2 - We're back

Loved the new title feline. You have a very ingenuous mind.

The shade of transparency makes sense. I will try that out. That will probably solve that problem.

Sure wish I could animate this one for the effect I want. Guess I just need to play around with it some more and see what wicked things I can do to it.

The menu, - well a different story. Mind boggling is about all I can say for it. So strange that everything works but that.

starone - unless you have me working on graphics anyway

i wouldnt do that
anyway, appart from the obvious practical problems of describing graphics without waving paws (hard as we have aleady found on this message board ), i am deeply against exploiting child labour.

Thanks on the child labour bit (I went skipping across the room like a young spring chicken), but I really don't mind doing graphics free of charge and no strings attached (however I'm not as good as Alexandrie and the others, but we keep trying).

Is there a tutorial for ObjectBar skinning?

Hi feline and thanks for the hug!

I've been around, just that there is soooo many msg boards and I am suppose to be working, I used to work and hang out on just "one" board which was easy, but now I find it hard to work and tag 50 all day, (And I get into trouble when I play around too much) hehe

TheHamster - Is there a tutorial for ObjectBar skinning?

i suppose we could photo-copy starone's brain for you

beyond that, what sort of thing do you mean? i have become quite good at configuring and doing fun things with object bar, but have yet to look at the graphics part of it.

skinstudio supports object bar, which should help.

starone - Thanks on the child labour bit

you are only as old as i think you are

starone - but I really don't mind doing graphics free of charge and no strings attached (however I'm not as good as Alexandrie and the others, but we keep trying).

becareful who hears you
it is about time i started learning how to do some of the basic things with graphics i think.

i started simply trying to make a simple pop-up menu in desktopX to configure the zoom on the viewer.

after 10 minutes i decided that i didnt know how to get a word to appear in a graphic file in gimp

very hard to experiment in desktopX without some basic graphics to hang my experiments on

I use Jasic Paint Shop Pro. Have you thought about getting it? I believe it is $79.95 and well worth the money (I like it better than coreldraw). Anyway, I like to use the png format for Desktop X. It comes out so much better and using Jasic makes life 100% easier. Just something to think about. They have a trial version you can try out. Can't hurt to download it and give it a whirl. www.jasic.com or www.jasc.com (don't remember which it is but one of the two will get you there.

/me considers what to do

obviously ignoring Doreen would be rude.
so to be polite, trying to make Doreen feel wanted by making her laugh sounds sensibl'ish

/me tries standing behind Doreen to rub her tummy before leaping backwards quickly

Hey "you're" the cat, is'nt it your tummy that needs to be rubbed?
nevermind!!!!!

me no like my tummy rubbed... hehe (unless of course I have a tummy ache, which is rare)

you're strange feline... hehe

hehe no starone, this cat is all "yours" hehe

Okay, Doreen, if you insist - I'll try to keep him busy solving the menu thing. But he distracts easy - now Feline is on to DesktopX, graphics, and Gimp. Still say he made Gimp up though. He is quite talented on the imagination bit.

i am still waiting on pearls of wisdom from you on this one at the moment

starone - But he distracts easy

now that is hardly fair!
i do have a low bordom threshold (about 1 picosecond) but that doesnt mean that i am giving up on things. i am quite capable of multitasking. after all doing 16 things at once is a standard female trait.

starone - Still say he made Gimp up though.

for linux:

fow windows:

flattery will only get you so far

Glad you took everything in stride. Just playing around on the Gimp part. It sounds so strange that it doesn't seem real.

two women thinking i am a male, so that they can talk about me without me knowing the are talking dont worry me.

/me finds their expressions when i join in the conversation *very* funny
