Problems with windowblinds and cursorxp

well i just recently built this system and i have windows xp pro installed. amd64 3400+ 1gig pc3200 XMS Corsair ram 6800gt dfi lanparty board etc. So i go and get windowblinds and when i use it then i have no skins on my taskbar but everything else is skinned and it's jsut regular classic windows. With cursorxp when i click finish in the installation it keeps making my icons and taskbar disapear and then my comp just basically freezes. I'm assuming it's a problem with sp2 so if anyone has any ideas why both these apps are doing this please tell me. Thanks in advance.

DO you have the absolute newest build of WindowBlinds installed? Older build had problems skinning the taskbar for systems running an AMD64 processor, but that should have been fixed with the newest build. Check in Stardock Central whether there is a newer verson available.

well thats not cool :-/... when do you guys think it will be solved? i want my windowblinds and yes i had the latest windowblinds.

Where did you get WB from?

We believe there is an installer of 4.4 around which has 4.3 files in it rather than some of the updated 4.4 files, but we are not sure where it came from.

Are you using

1) WB shareware

2) WB from ObjectDesktop (OD customer)

3) WB standalone registered enhanced (WB customer)

or 4) Other...

A couple of sites certainly 'released' a WB 4.4 shareware before we did (in fact before we had even compiled it!) so its possible thats whats causing this confusion. 

If you are a standalone WB enhanced customer, request the link again & then reinstall.  As the very first 4.4 enhanced build (out for 1 day or so) had a bad file included.  This was fixed though.

thansk man apparently the release i had was a wrong copy like you said. Now i'm wondering if anyone knows when cursor xp problem for amd64 will be fixed and released?

CXP 1.31 is out now........ the fix for the AMD64.

is that version 1.31 for the Plus version only? C|NET still has 1.3 for the freeware version.
