CursorXP installation problem.

I am running Windows XP with SP2. When I finish installing CursorXP and I move the new cursor, it changes to the new "working" cusor, at that point all the icons and the entire start bar start flashing on and off and I cannot select anything. I have to reboot. I have tried installing it several times with the same result (actually the first time a Dr. Watson message popped up and froze my desktop). I noticed if I don't touch the mouse on reboot and use my arrow keys to open a start menu item, anything that trys to cover the icon is instantly shut down and the desktop is frozen again. Is there a setting in windows that needs to be enabled for CusorXP to work? Thanks for any help, I don't know what else to do.

I have to reboot to access my external hard drive right now. But, I remember that there was a missing system file needed to run CursorXP 1.3a. If I can find the name of it, I will post it, when I reboot.

You might also try the newsgroup. There seems to have been an issue with AMD64 processors with SP2 installed. There is a temporary fix on the CursorXP newsgroup. The problem as discussed has nothing to do with Dr. Watson. But, Dr. Watson is mentioned in the problem as constantly coming up. The missing file may have just been an individual problem of mine. Good Luck.
