Windowblinds

I have not tried with Ascension is probably not very color support friendly. It is too white. Color support changes the non grey scale colors only. It only darkens or lightens the grey scales.
In WB config, custom coloring there is a check box to force the coloring, Im sure you found that but just in case you missed it.

Some skins just are not very custom color friendly.

The only way to change colors in a grey/black/white skin is to use SkinStudio's colorizing abilities. You won't be able to do it with Windowblinds alone. If you have SKS, edit the skin, and play with the coloring options there...I've managed to color a few grey skins to different colors. This will end up with more work though, as you will probably need to change other things like font colors, etc.

Still no guarantee that it will look good, but the colors will change.

That's the trick with windowblinds and SkinStudio...Never give up.

I have a question that I need help with.

I am thinking about downloading Window Blinds and the Longhorn Slate 4051 skin for my computer. For that skin, in the list of bullet points, this is the last one:

"Remove old Visual before updating if you don't want to encounter problems"

Could someone tell me what this means?

It means that because the skin has been updated from an older version, you should delete the old version of the skin as to not encounter any errors.

If you have not downloaded the skin before, you have nothing to worry about.
