LogonStudio and WindowBlind problems with SP2

I know others are having some troubles (and some aren't) with sp2 and some of these GUI changing programs. I am having particular trouble with LogonStudio and WindowBlinds. At first, I simply uninstalled and reinstalled them but it didn'g fix anything. My problem with WindowBlinds is that it skins everything EXCEPT the start bar, which it just defaults to a drab grey. I've tried multiple skins with this with the same result. With LogonStudio, the skins either don't work at all and I get a little logon box instead, or the colors are extremely messed up (pixelated random colors to be more precise). Has anyone found a way to fix these problems?

I'd recommend you do what I had to do. Take your themes you wanna keep and put them somewhere else on you system. Then uninstall WB. When it says it's done, go to explorer where the WB directory was supposed to be and make sure it's gone. If it's not, delete it, then reboot or shutdown and restart (better). Go to Stardock again and do a MANUAL install of WB latest version (in other words do not use the Automatic Install window which will pop up as soon as SDC is online. Same thing happened with my DX2.2 and SP2. Hope this helps. Oh yeah, reboot (or shutdown/restart) after WB installs. When done, move your themes back to the WB directory (usually, c:\program files\stardock\object dock\windowblinds). Again it worked for me with DX. Didn't have a problem with WB or Logon Studio......

What i'm curious about is: why have so many people problems with SP2 in combination with the Stardock applications?

I haven't had any problems

I honestly don't know, it's also weird that the problems aren't all the same. Anyway, I got a little excited and I actually still can't get WindowBlinds to work (logonstudio is what I had fixed in my previous post). I don't have the downloaded version, I bought mine, so I'd really like to find out what's wrong so I know I didn't waste my money. To rediscribe, I can get the skin to work on windows, but the startbar just changes to a grey and everytime I go under programs in the start menu, none of the program menus work. I did the "clean" install like you described above, and I got the same outcome. Please help
