I can't install anything...

I cannot install any of the programs Stardock Central 20, DesktopX Public, Icon Packager Public or BootSkin Free. The only prog I can install is WindowBlinds4 Public.
Well.. I can install the other ones, but when the install procedure is done it says that EXPLORER.EXE is not a valid Win32 program and it never opens. I use Windows XP Pro. What can I do to make the programs run?

Is it because I have my hd formatted with NTFS? But that's what most people use with WinXP... strange?

No, it's not because of NTFS, but I don't know what might be causing this. Your best bet would be to contact [email protected]  Strange indeed.

Make sure to run a virus scan with current definitions. There are some virii that will install a bogus explorer.exe to your system.

On XP, explorer.exe should be located in C:\Windows
If you find one in any other location, it may be a sign of infection.

I have been in contact with Stardock support, but they were as confused as I am

Yeah, but did you remove the virus associated with them. If not, they may just replicate themselves. There are free online virus scanners.
