Total Noob here, How do I get what I paid for??

Total Noob here, How do I get what I paid for??

So basically, from what I've come across in searches, this is a problem a lot of people seem to have with Stardock. But, it also seems that they all at least half know what they were doing...

My friend who has already left out of state, back to where he lives, helped me with purchasing Object Desktop for $49.95. I don't have a credit card, but he does, so he was getting it for me, and I was paying him back cash. With the assumption that after I purchased it, I would be able to download it and mess with it on my laptop while hanging with my friends and show them what I was actually talking about (what the program can do and whatnot). But it's been over 6 hours and I still am yet to receive a confirmation email, and nothing has appeared under "my account - products", just "No registrations found", but I've been refreshing both my email and that page a couple of times each hour...

Then I found the "offices"? are only open Monday - Fri, 9am-4pm. I ordered my Object Desktop (well, more my friend did, and used my email-address) at 10:17 pm here on the east coast, US. ... ... does this mean my order won't even process until Monday?!??

Then I tried logging in here on the forums to ask, but couldn't. I eventually after reading over many threads that there was something called Impulse. So, I have an impulse account now, on the same email address as the one my friend entered when he purchased Object Desktop for me.

... What now? I don't know where to go from here to get my program I purchased. I finally saved up enough spare cash to buy this, and now my friend has that money with him, in another state now, and I have nothing... .... little aggravated, confused, don't know what to do, etc...

Help? :/

Alrighty, it's uninstalling at the moment.

The only thing I'm somewhat concerned about is that yesterday I started uninstalling the trial version of Deskscapes, and it got to the point where I was wondering about the bolded items yesterday. I wasn't sure what to do at that point, so I stopped it (not wanting to make a wrong move), but afterwards, it doesn't appear on Revo's list of programs to uninstall/interact with. ...So what happened to it? Will it mess up my Deskscapes?

You should be fine, and you did the right thing. When in doubt, leave your registry alone.

After uninstalling, reboot before installing anything.

Thank you all very much for all the help. I have everything now, and have been experimenting alot. But it seems I have a problem with Soundpackager that I need help with I guess.

Everytime I go to New Sound Package, enter the info and click add, the program crashes/stops working. Same happens everytime I try to apply a soundpackage. So.... right now all I can do is listen to my soundpacks but not apply anything.... hmm.

There have been several reasons for SP to crash.

I don't use SP on Win 7 but had a similar issue on Vista. I had to do this to fix it:

Start > run > %AppData%\Stardock\

Then delete the sound packager folder.

Another fix was to set WindowBlinds to exclude it.

Perhaps someone using SoundPackager on Win7 can be more helpful.

Actually, I am on Vista, lol. But anyways, I attempted the run - delete, and all it does now is crash when I start the program. How exactly do you set blinds to exclude? And how does that help?

Open the windowblinds config window from the tray icon.

Then navigate to "Settings" then to "Per application" then add the .exe of whichever app you wish to exclude...:
