That doesn't sound like a 'Logon Problem'...do you have a virus scan boot floppy by chance?

OK...if you have XP and you don't have an AV floppy (most don't) then boot up the XP Install CD and do a repair. If you don't have a virus, my guess is you have a hacked .dll system file from another proggie.

i appologise if this double posts but i hit a button on the keyboard and im not sure what it did...
im on windows XP home, i assumed it was the logon because i had excatly the same proble with the bootskins, but was able to fix it in safe mode because it does not use the bookskin to load up. (fixed it by disabeling the bootskin program)...
well i have not installed any other programs recently... and i do not have a floppy drive as it is a laptop...
when i do repair it brings up dos.. what can i do in this to try and resolve the program?
Thanks for your help so far

If you can get into DOS them delete or rename this file: C:\Windows\System32\logonuix.exe. On the reboot it should now revert to the original logon screen.
