hi to everyone ... i'm new around here ... i came across this web site by accident ... and i must say wow! ... it's amazing ... esp everything you guys do and upload here ... it's great ... i just wanted to know ... before i install the desktopx and iconpackager ... is it true that it slows down the computer? ... i'm running windows xp on intel pentium 4 ht, 512 RAM, 120GB sata disk and radeon 9600XT with 256MB ... any advice is welcomed! thanks!

With that system, you shouldn't see much, if any difference in speed.
Occasionally you may run across some themes that seem to be a little slower, but that tends to vary theme by theme.

thanks for your reply ... i knew my configuration should be good enough to run mentioned software ... i came across this message when going through iconpackager ... "the icons for the windows xp classic start menu cannont be changed. this is currently a limitation within the operating system..." any suggestions? tnx

Do you use the "Classic" Startmenu? If not, it won't matter.
