Dreamscapes Problem

Dreamscapes Problem

I have downloaded all dreams including all Master Premium dreams.  Only one won't let me download it:  Stars (Neil Banfield).  As soon as I click "Download", Explorer crashes.  Does anybody know why this is?  I have asked Support and they say my system isn't equipped for Deskscapes.  If this is true, why does every other dream on this website work perfectly?  At one point, it did work.  I really want Stars but don't know how to get it.  Thanks.

Replying to any ticket email will reopen your case.  Do that.

Also, if a ticket appears to be resolved from supports perspective and a notification is set to the user, if they don't reply within so many days, the ticket self-closes.

Go ahead and give it a poke again, it will get looked at.

Hi GregII,

The problem you're describing reminds me very much of a corrupted download file problem.  I would try the following:

1) Write to Stardock Support and ask them to verify the download link they gave you to make sure it isn't the problem.  Ask them to test the download link to validate it does in fact work correctly with a test machine.

2) Remove the Stars dream file from your PC completely.  Make sure it isn't hiding anywhere.  Then run a good cleaner program and reboot.

3)  When Support says they have verified the link and that it works correctly re-download the Stars Dream file.  If you experience the same problem it might be due to a codec issue.  CarGuy is very knowledgeable with Codecs. You could try sending him a pm to troubleshoot that end if needed.

Good luck.  I hope you find a solution.

Amazing.  The update fixed it.  I guess it wasn't me after all.
