Changes at WinCustomize UPDATED!!

I just want to say thanks and that I love the new changes in the galleries and on the front page!!

 

I like the new rating thing, only I got confused and rated twice...lol. I thought it was supposed to stay "lit", always showing me that I had rated the skins and by how much.

I can be thick, at times....anyway, I love it! And the new double row of recent skins on the front page is awesome, just lacks a DX category.....:blush: .

Its a pleasant surprise.... not that ^. It wasn't there when I replied.

The site changes, which by the way are a bit more enjoyable as I'm nearly convinced FireFox is screwing up again. No OT here.

I like the choices you have now. And yeah...Dx should be up there too.

new submissions don't last very long in the "new" catagory. when I first saw the change I was thrilled now not so. for the majority of us the change is not a change, SNAFU.

If there were 10 it'd be essentially unfair to all those blinds that don't make top ten....

If there were a hundred it'd be essentially unfair to all those blinds that don't make the top hundred....

 

If they are the currently noted top five most POPULAR well... so be it.

The actual/real POPULARITY of those are a magnet to induce interest in the WHOLE gallery.

Arguably, at any given time the top five MOST RECENT could all be uninterestingly 'bland' and everyone loses out through ennui....;)

Jafo,, I'm disappointed. I don't usually use harsh language unless the frustration creeps in like a freight train crushing that bland VW on the tracks.

And your analogy doesn't address new vs. popular, it's still all about popular. It's disappointing to post a skin only to have it bumped off of the new when someone posts their objectdock/rainmeter/wallpaper/desckscape set. Foolish me, I thought that the change would benefit all of us by giving a little longer exposure in the individual categories.

Kind of sorry for the rant but it did feel good and Jafo, you've broken my heart yet again. :'(

Well...at least I'm consistent...;)

I didn't have a hand in the change/s, but unlike a few I don't see a lot of mileage in when not liking the movie at the Drive-in....slashing the seats in revenge...;)

Over the years [10 of them] there's been oodles of changes to Wincustomize.com ..... most of them are good, even .

Some may require tweaking.... some work out of the box.

Not ALL change is bad....;)
