The free flow of information is critical to any community.

As long as posts are not violating the Terms of Service they really shouldn't be locked or hidden (Duplicates or near duplicates excepted).

Trying to control the direction of a post or it's replies discourages communication and should be the last resort and

I've looked around and can't find anything so could someone please show me where it says PMs should NEVER be posted in forums. I'd appreciate it. I think it's total BS that someone can put something in a PM and not worry about rebuttal because there's this supposedly written rule about not posting PMs in forums. I mean, fuck, someone tells me I should change my post because he worked his little tail off coming up with a half assed photoshop of a t-shirt and some ripped text from an article and there isn't shit I can do about it. On top of that, he's a fucking mod.

It's a damn shame this had to get so 'hostile'. I guess I have to wonder why it couldn't be worked out in PM's instead of bringing the PM's into the open. I've been the down the same road. When a discussion is brought to me in PM's it stays there, even if it's someone calling me a fucktard, which has happened. The beauty of PM's is that I can DELETE them, where I can't delete some rude comment from my thread or any thread.

What surprises me even more about this going as far as it has is that I have always looked up to the people involved for their sanity, calmness, kindness, and willingness to work with others. I have admired some to the point of jealousy because they to me were the kind of person I have always aspired to be and failed to be over and over.

I hope you all can work this out and soon. I personally, not that it matters, don't need the downer right now.

It doesn't surprise me at all but then again I've received a PM telling me that I should edit a post and being accused of trolling. I figured that it was just a matter of time before the water begin to boil elsewhere.
