UIS0 Skin Killed My Rig

UIS0 Skin Killed My Rig

I can't boot up......

OK, guys. I opened SKS7, new UIS0 skin, named it, added texture to the taskbar and start panel, clicked apply, save changes, and it blurred and locked down.

After waiting a good two minutes or so, I performed a hard reboot, hasn't booted since. Or maybe it has. I do get a black screen and a cursor. No sound, nuttin.

Can't do safe mode, last known good config, nada.

Easy BCD Is what I used to decide which to be the default OS. After that, windows gives me the choice every time I boot.

....someday you'll have to explain the logic of that.
End of yrag's quote

When I first dual booted, I was running Vista, and Win 7 beta. and 7 wanted to be the default OS, so I used BCD edit to make Vista the default.

Upon upgrading to the release version of 7, I wanted 7 to be default, so BCD edit helped me change it back. I'm sure you know a way to do it without a third party app.

So now, if I turn my PC on and go piss, not making a choice, Win 7 loads by default.

What version of WindowBlinds do you have?

Also were the images you applied TGA or BMP files?

If you can't boot Safe mode then it always means there is something else wrong as WindowBlinds does not start up in Safe mode.

The hard reboot resulting from the locked up UIS0 skin borked my MBR.

I used pngs Neil. SKS7 said I could.

I could boot into safe mode, I just didn't get anything but a cursor and a black screen.
