TOON-XP Premium Suite now available!

If you combined the talents of Paul Boyer & Pixtudio together to create the ultimate suite, what would it look like?

Probably something like the new Toon-XP Premium suite! This new suite includes a new visual style created by Pixtudio that has multiple sub-designs and can be colored to any color you'd like, but also supports the new WindowBlinds 4 features such as skinnable Explorer task panes, logon/logoff screens, and much more.

The desktop theme is created by Paul Boyer and supplies a wharf on the right and a cool resource monitoring piece at the top.

The right click desktop menu is replaced with one that is faster and has a link to your most frequently used programs.

And of course, it also includes a ton of excellent icons by Paul Boyer (maker of the Orion icon suites). Each icon supports alpha blending and has resolutions from 16x16 all the way up to 128x128 which makes them ideal for programs like ObjectDock.

And you can pick and choose which pieces you want to use. Only want to use the skin? No problem. Worried that you don't have the software you need installed? No problem, the suite includes a mini-program called ThemeManager which includes the pieces to each program you need to apply the theme. So even if you don't have a given part installed, Toon-XP will automatically take care of it for you upon installation.

There's already been one free WinCustomize suite provided to subscribers. The other one will appear before subscriptions expire. I think some people are expecting a bit much for 80 cents per month.

CMD prompt skinning will need a WindowBlinds 4 build in the coming days. XP-only for the initial alpha testing. But, 2000 should support skinned consoles as well.

looking in the stardock newsgroups looks like there are a few "issues" with this paid suite I got to agree having pad for OD another $* for a skin is a little cheaky ! ! IMHO

Often it is totally overseen that subscribers already have a great advantage(for example surfing the site much faster or being able to access everything when others can't). If You only subscribed to WC for exclusive skin suites You were sure missing something...

I know my subscription is about more than just special suites. But this is about trust and promises. Not every suite suites everones tastes. And if a special suite comes by which actually looks nice than suddenly you have to pay for it. In the past I had the feeling I could subscribe to Stardock subscription services before they had anything developed yet in the knowledge that it would be worth my money. But recently, my feelings are beginning to change. If they had stated beforehand explicitly that they would also offer paid special suites which would fall outside this subscription, if they had stated beforehand how many free suites were part of your subscription, or hell, if instead they would just offer a real reduced price for subscribers, I would have been a happy customer.
Note that I'm no freerider. In fact I've hardly used a skin for the last few months. But I appreciate what Wincustomize offers and decided that I wanted it to stay in business so I subscribed. Then something comes along which looks like real fun to try and suddenly I have to pay up again?! No, that doesn't make me happy no.

Sorry, until I'm sure WB4 works at least moderately well, I'll not be buying this suite just yet(although the temptation is huge ).

I can't believe people complain so much. Get over it. It's 8 bucks. So you miss seeing Lord of the Rings for the 19th time... 18 is pretty good!

It's ridiculous - this is a fantastic suite - great icons, great colors, very complete, professional looking, and even has features that will immediately take advantage of the WB4 alpha. I jumped to buy this as soon as I saw it. In fact, I've bought just about every "premium" suite thats available, including donations to Chad for that awesome H2so4 suite, and to mormegil for icon sets. These guys work hard, and deserve it. Quit complaining.

You really need to make up your mind Brad. Either our subscriptions are helpful and worthwhile, or we're expecting too much for our lowly eighty cents per month. Many of us have bought Object Desktop, Subscriptions, and CD's, etc. I really don't think we're expecting too much by making sure that you plan to keep your promises. For our two year subscription we were led to believe that we would be getting many things that we've yet to receive. Surely you understand that it will rub a few people the wrong way when you don't seem to be able to produce the subscriber suites, yet you're able to roll out a shiny new icon suite and this cartoon suite and ask us to pay for them. All we've received so far are those lame text ads, which nobody seems to care about, one WB skin that many people thought was substandard, one icon package that was merely a slight recolor of icons we already had for months, a wallpaper that didn't match anything else in the suite, a simple OB theme, and a buggy Skinbrowser.

Just to be clear....you did say that we would be getting 2 premium suites per year right? Therefore, we should be expecting 3 more suites in the next year to year and a half?

In what sense are we expecting too much for our $20?

What do you expect twenty dollars for two years to give you? Let's see. I've subscribed to many sites. deviantART costs thirty dollars per year, LiveJournal costs twenty-five dollars per year, and WebAttack costs twenty dollars per year. You are expecting too much if you expect more than WinCustomize offered. As for the first suite, you might not have liked it, but if you bought the subscription exclusively for the suites, you should have probably waited until they were released before you decided on the purchase.
Compared to many other sites, if not the majority of sites, the subscription to WinCustomize is very cheap.

No offense Messy Buu...but I don't give a flying leap about other sites. If I did I would compare the quality of the suites provided for DA subscribers versus the Augustus suite. My only expectation is for them to provide what they promised. I'm also not implying that I think they have no plans on doing that. It just bothers me that they don't seem to be doing it in a timelt fashion. I also would like to know that my subscription is appreciated, rather than hear comments like "I think some people are expecting a bit much for 80 cents per month." If they thought the price wasn't enough they should have made it a bit higher. Actually I shouldn't say that as then they may start offering Super Duper Premium Exclusive Subscription Packages.

Be patient. Unless they stated that they would release the themes quickly, they can release anytime before the two years are up. Personally, I do hope it comes out after WB4 is out for the obvious reasons.
Everybody has around one year left before their subscriptions expire. One shouldn't worry about them not keeping their promises to the subscribers until the end is near.

$8 is far to inexpensive for a skin suite. This suite is not to my usual style, but I purchased anyway to support the concept of a premimum skin suite for a price. For anyone who has developed any ammount of skins, let alone a skin suite... you know how much time and effort is involved. You would expect the skinner to make more than minimum wage, wouldn't you? If not, then why are we not all working at Wendy's?

WOW! I've just ordered and installed this package and it's sweet!

One little request, could someone produce a SysMetrix skin to go with it, and a Winstep WorkShelf skin as well please? Not everyone will want these, but it would be nice to have the option...

Thanks for all the hard work that went into this

I see a Sysmetrix skin screaming to be made from that top bar. I'll give it a shot. I sent an email your way.

Davad: Calm yourself. As has been repeated said to you, the second premium WC suite will be provided between now and the end of the 2 year period. If this is unacceptable, we will happily refund your money.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the subscription going to be for 1 year periods, does that mean we were going to get 2 premium WC suites for that period, but now we are only going to get one per year?
sorry for the double post. If that is so then how about a compromise and do 3 suites for the 2 year period?
It's a 2 year subscription.
