TOON-XP Premium Suite now available!

https://www.stardock.com/products/themes/toon-xp
If you combined the talents of Paul Boyer & Pixtudio together to create the ultimate suite, what would it look like?

Probably something like the new Toon-XP Premium suite! This new suite includes a new visual style created by Pixtudio that has multiple sub-designs and can be colored to any color you'd like, but also supports the new WindowBlinds 4 features such as skinnable Explorer task panes, logon/logoff screens, and much more.

The desktop theme is created by Paul Boyer and supplies a wharf on the right and a cool resource monitoring piece at the top.

The right click desktop menu is replaced with one that is faster and has a link to your most frequently used programs.

And of course, it also includes a ton of excellent icons by Paul Boyer (maker of the Orion icon suites). Each icon supports alpha blending and has resolutions from 16x16 all the way up to 128x128 which makes them ideal for programs like ObjectDock.

And you can pick and choose which pieces you want to use. Only want to use the skin? No problem. Worried that you don't have the software you need installed? No problem, the suite includes a mini-program called ThemeManager which includes the pieces to each program you need to apply the theme. So even if you don't have a given part installed, Toon-XP will automatically take care of it for you upon installation.

If we only had WB4...

AWESOME!!! Did I say AWESOME?!!! The WindowBlinds and the icons are worth it.

a very nice theme, would have been good to have something for Cursor XP and ICQ Plus too. Could you make these skins and send it to registered users? Would be a great addition

very nice. not my style, but i got it anyway because it quite simply is the most polished package i've seen yet, and that includes pixtudios other stuff, IMO (i can actually read the taskbar and the clock, which is unusual for a pixtudio skin, esp. for the otherwise great treetog skins. lemee guess - alexandrie had a hand in the taksbar?). a logon and cursorXP package would have been the cheeries and nuts on top. i don't use OB, so i can't comment on that, but the icons, wallpaper, DX stuff, and WB theme are all simply first rate. THIS is the quality i was expecting earlier for WinCustomize subscribers, not Augustus.

looks like a pretty nifty suite although i am not too keen on that titlebar style. other than that it looks like alot of fun!

...and seeing as how this suite utilizes WB4, does this mean that there will be an alpha of WB4 released to those that are interested in purchasing the suite?

i thought i'd try OB. i'm guessing this is a relatively feature thin theme, because upon installation of OB, some of the other ones included full task bars and start menus, as well as panels on the side of the screen. the toon one seems to just be a right-click for the desktop. am i right? so, in the description of it in the OB theme manager, the author pretty much just kept the description from "Simple v1.0?, right? it read "A 'simple' theme combining program access, taskbars, and more in menu on the left of the screen."

Please, don't shoot me:

I like it (the screenshoot). Anyway, the skin suite will be more complete, with more skinning apps, not only the Stardock apps.

I not agree with paying for a skin suite. It don't matches with 'sharing will all users'. Anyway i recognize, the money will be u 'plus' for the skinner to make better skins.
Where are the times of great skin suites at skinz.org, or the community projets? I don't need to say where you can obtain a good community project

Yes, I will pay for a excellent skinned application, but not for a skin. I'm a iconist, and i starting to make skins, and i know this is a hobby (a excellent hobby), not a profession.

In adition, some great skinners are making two 'status' for skin users: the ones that haven't problems with money. The lasts will loose their quality skins.

Maybe this is the 'next way' for skinning, but i don't agree with it.

Suh-weeet! So cute! ...but have to agree in part with Carlitus. ...but undertsand so will say nuttin' more.

Carlitus : There are still great free skins and suites by the Pixtudio members (look at Copperdeck II)and free icons by Mormegil and I think there will always be.

Oh well... this is a great suite! But... when I subscribed to WinCustomize I recall it was mentioned that premium suites were included in the subscribtion . I Guess subscribers can only hope that the next premium suite for us will be of the same high quality as this one

I gotta agree with Speedy! One of the big reasons I subscribed to WInCustomize was the promise of "premium" suites just for subscribers. It look as if that is all we'll get as far as suites go: promises.

I'll still renew my sub because of the quality of goods here, but subscribers having to pay $8.95 for this suite, just like everyone else, kinda blows! >

8+ dollars for a suite is just way too much. You need to look into a yearly subscription (like $40/year) for premium skinz/icons if anything. I'd pay 4 bucks MAX for a premium skin suite but not 8. I realize the work that goes into something like this, but from a normal WindowBlind user's point of view, I wouldn't buy it for 8+ dollars with all the free ones that are available. I mean I can buy Fallout 1 AND Fallout 2 (Classic GOTY Interplay RPG games) at BestBuy for 10 dollars. I will continue to upgrade my subscription to Object Desktop but a word to the wise Stardock, with the subscription fees to this website, premium icon suites fees, premium skin suite fees, yearly subscriptions to Object desktop fees, separate fees for Cursor XP from the ODNT subscription, and history of, how can I put this "not ready for reatail use" software - you're starting to look VERY money hungry....

I do love windowblinds though! Just an idea to rethink your financial strategy with these suites and subscription fees. At least offer a ALL-IN-ONE purchase for everything including these premium suites and subscriptions that is reasonable.

Definitely a nice suite though! Good Luck!

I you are an OD subscriber, but haven't yet installed all the components (such as Desktop/X) you must do so from Component Manager so that you get "full" versions. WinStyles downloads trial versions if you let it install missing piecess.

Otherwise, I am impressed. I like the skins and icons a lot. Well done.

Pretty cool! Nicely done. Not much of a Cartoon Addict, but would love to see more mature themes! My CMD Prompt doesn't skin although everything else works just fine. A bit of advice for those who have Object Desktop, when you load this theme and you don't have all the components loaded be sure to load them first because ToonXP asks if you want to download the needed components. If you click yes then you get the Shareware version and you get prompts to purchase the full version!

Great suite!!! I have to say the 8.95 price is well within a good price margin for this suite. I too have subscribed to wincustomize and I do expect free premium suites later on as well but I see no reason that EVERY premium suite be free. Also, 8.95 for a skin suite that is complete as this one is worth every penny. Keep'em comming!!

I kinda look at wincustomize like an exclusive club. You pay a fee to get in the door, you get some goodies free, and you purchase others to help keep the club going!
