Windows 7 Launch Day!

Today is the big day!  Around the world people are either going to pickup, or waiting for the delivery person to bring theirs to the door.  I have talked to many people this morning, and a bunch have received their packages early.

Apparently, there are some big lines in London this morning.

That's rather interesting. I thought that with the 'net and other online retailers that there would be no lines (unlike Win95's launch). Has anyone else had to dash out to get this? Who ordered online and is expecting delivery?

Pre-ordered online back in July and expected it would be arriving today or tomorrow but turns out they say the delivery date is beginning of next week. ;p

I'll have mine tomorrow as it was pre-ordered and have to pick it up at UPS. I'm surprised at the lines as well, good to see though as it is worth using this OS unless your PC can't handle it.

The retailers on Tottenham Court here in central London didn't look crowded at all... must have been early in the morning. I did like all the pretty Win 7 cases in the windows though. :D

I picked my copy up about a week ago from my local PC store... didn't install it until late last night. though.  For one, my main rig was in the shop with a mysterious 'non-posting' issue until yesterday afternoon... and secondly, wasn't supposed to be installed until the 22nd anyhow.

vStyler... haha. I have not made the leap yet. Maybe next year. I dunno. I have heard alot of good things about it though. Then again have not upgraded my leopard to "snow" leopard yet either. Meh, don't really care to me thinks. :P

I have Win7 installed on all my PC's, even my Netbook.  I'm not looking back either.  I keep XP and Vista on VM's for work related stuff and that is it.

Got an e-mail from MS today to say my disc is posted - ha!.

These lazy b*******s should get back to work so I can get W7 >:(

3 out of 5 here....and ditto with the XP - VM.

May yet experiment with 7 on my lappy ....but it'll possibly be a stretch....small HD and ram....it's a Dell600....;p
