Welcome to support

Stardock is coming..

WinCustomize has always ended up being a quasi-support channel for Stardock's stuff.  Offiically, on-line support is handled by Stardock's news groups. And that is going to continue.  But we are also going to add an official web forum for those people who want to get support via the web. So here it is!

Ok, here's a question that I've tossed around for the past couple of day that I haven't gotten an answer for.

I wrote the article on IconX and was unable figure out from stardocks site if IconX is still a part of DesktopX purchase or if it has to be purchased seperatly from DesktopX.

So I'm asking if a person purchases DesktopX is IconX included?

It really doesn't matter to me, I have ODNT, but it would have been nice to have the information for those reading the article.

It is a seperate program from DesktopX now. A person who purchases DesktopX on its own won't get IconX.

Thank you..

Froggy may I suggest that you update the stardock.com pages. I hadn't looked through them in a long time but, when writing the articles on IconX and IconPackager I found them to be severly lacking in information.

May I also add that those who need help can also log on to irc.stardock.com with any IRC client and go to #SDCentral for help.

WMP is installed on your system already

Have you installed the corasponding proram for the skin you tried to install?

If you downloaded a windowblinds skin you have to have winodowblinds installed, if you downloaded a DesktopX opject or widget you have to have DesktopX installed , etc......

Look at the top of each section on Wincustomize and it will give you the link to the proper program for the skin.

Also Brendak this forum is not completly "Live Yet", I bet you got to it from Joeueser, It it also on Wincustomize 2k5 which will not be available for public consumption for a couple of week yet. When it goes live the support will be better....
