If it isn't in IRC it isn't happening, is that what I'm reading. It's not secret knowledge that WG hasn't been in the greatest health lately. He's mentioned here a few times about his health problems. I'm just trying to get him some happy thoughts.

messiah1 I think what everyone is saying is that we just weren't aware that WebGizmos was going thru some tuff times health wise. Some people are more private with giving out that kind of information. :NOTSURE:

I too wish you a speedy recovery from the ailments that you find yourself with. Get well and hurry back.  :HOT:

I wouldn't post about it. That is overstepping I believe. Again, just wishing a friend some happy thoughts, good vibes, etc.

Thanks everyone! Especially you Messiah for taking the time to write this while having your own problems with your little guy...and I'm glad to hear some good news about him...I hope he continues to improve...its just not right for a little guy to go through that. :CONGRAT:

I wish I could say things are going ok...but honestly I don't know...pretty much taking things one day at a time right now. Its rough when you don't have health insurance...and the medical assistance is pretty useless...most worthwhile doctors don't even accept it and its very limited as far as getting the tests you need.

To make a long story short for those that don't know what happened.

I basically have some mysterious illness which the doctors don't really seem to have a clue about...depends on which one you talk to....which has left my left side....from my fingers to my shoulder and down to my waste...numb... extremely stiff...and tingling 24/7. The first hospital I went to when this happened back in March...who determined it wasn't a stroke...jury still out on that...almost finished me off with by giving me the wrong meds and charged me $11,000.00 for that privilege.

Oh yeah....no health insurance.

Then I had to battle with numerous doctors to get any pain medication whatsoever...apparently they are more concerned with lawsuits, liability and the FDA than they are with helping anyone...."Thank you frivolous law suitors!" After getting run through the basic over the counter pain medication routine which only emptied my wallet numerous times. I pretty much had to threaten them to get any pain medication at the ER....which I had to do roughly 7 times. The medication they gave me was 5mg Valiums & 100 Mg Neuronton 4 times a day...which pretty much did nothing for me. The cost of the medication for a month was around $40.00...having to go to the ER each time to get it jacked it up to around $1340 each time.

Then I finally get Medical assistance...pretty much so the first hospital could get paid...not so much for my problem because like I said...the assistance is pretty useless and even more limited when it comes to getting tests done.

Then I was informed after several cat scans that I also have 2 aneurysms...1 in my abdomen (4.4 centimeters) and 1 in my ascending aorta (3.5 centimeters)....and that eventually I will need a stent in my abdomen...not sure yet on the 1 in the heart...hence the battle to quit smoking. But they still don't know what the first problem was which is the one thats causing the most problems. The stiffness and tingling get so intense some times I just want to rip my arm off and be done with it.

Now I'm being practiced on...by of all things...an Iraqi Neurologist...who is actually a very nice lady...but still no different than all the other doctors in that they still have no clue whats wrong. So now I'm going through the meds routine again until they can find something that actually helps...and so far nothing is helping...actually making things worse at times with all those nice side effects.

So...thats pretty much where things stand at the moment...and which is why I haven't been on here as much or put out any new docks. I have several I was working on...but its just been to hard to sit here and move around. The only relief I get is pretty much from not moving...so I basically lay in bed most of the day....get up....go to work for a few hours and come home and lay down again to recover from all the moving around at work.

So again....thanks everyone for the kinds words of concern....and again to my friend and extremely talented successor Messiah...for taking the time from his own problems to create this post.

You Know....the one thing that sucks about his site.....not being able to meet all the great and caring people here face to face.

WebGizmos, I have to agree with Zubaz, there are a whole lot of us that get mistaken for xtras from a horror movie, and that's without makeup. :SURPRISED:

Our health is about the only item that makes it to the #1 position of every 10 list of important things. Can't imagine what you are going through.

There's no doubt in my mind you are in everyone's thought's and prayers in the community right now.

So show these doctors that you are seeing that the mind is stronger than any medication they can prescribe and give to you.

Get well soon.  :HOT:

Healthcare in this country is a joke...I get better care as a homeless vet than I ever did as a selfemployed businessman. And that care is pretty lame.

Keep the faith WG,something is bound to turn up.

Get well soon bro, I know it's hard right now given the limited care you're receiving but try to stay positive, positivity can be strong aid to your physical problems.
Don't be anyone's experiment either - what has the country come to when someone can't get half-decent medical assistance for their physical problems without insurance - pain killers are definitely not a cure for anyone's problems, it's very sad to hear that it's all they're pretty much able to do for you right now. Demand better for yourself from the system, and don't take no for an answer - remember you're worth it!
