I'm here for you!

Hey everyone, I'm "Thechaplain" and I'm (kind of) new here (I've visited the site before but I never created an acount until now). This site is great! I love how much you are able to skin differant apps (although I'm not very good at it  ).

Now, for what this post really is about:

I've noticed in the past couple of months that several of you have been going through some rough times, specifically Snidely Whiplash (Prayers are needed), and vStyler (Be ever vigilant...). I'm just here to let everyone know that I'm here for you. If you have a problem, or are going through a rough time in your life you can email me at: [email protected] (I don't know how to link it, Sorry!  ).

  God Bless!

I think that is a good idea. Sometimes us skinners get really stressed out!

I think it's a fairly good assumption that an actual 'Chaplain' would not spell his nick like 'The Little Tramp' Charlie...

Now, before you correct the spelling I'd suggest the removal of the 'the_wc_' as well.

There is a marked distinction between inferring one is an Ordained Minister/Chaplain and just someone [Layperson] willing to 'listen' to others' concerns....

While you're at also explain why I would want to confide in someone who is only 15 years old, as shown by your profile information? Now I'm not saying you can not be a religious person. What's in your background that qualifies you for your apparent vocation?

Maybe the_bartender or the_hairdresser?  People confide in both without any affiliation or veil of confidence.

It's an interesting idea but I'm not sure it's really needed.  We do OK as it is.  PM on the forums is usually a "Private Message"

It did, now it's says you are 34. Aging quickly aren't we.

While the intent may be sincere, folks will have to first get to know you as a friend, before being willing to open up on personal matters.

As for the age I have met many 50+ yo's who have little or no resemblance to being mature... so age isn't really a factor when offering sincere compassion and the occasional shoulder to cry on..

Also in todays age it is refreshing to see a few of our youths taking a Positive role in community's (even online ones) as compared to the majority we see that are a negative influence.....

With that I say, welcome to the community.

Regardless, I think it's an incredibly nice gesture...Actually taking the time to care about someone else and their hardships....Nice to meet you Chaplain and welcome to WC!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the community. I actually have a long list of things I need to talk to someone about and they involve how much I hate Skinhit. Actually, I would just like to convince you that you need to hate him, too. And then you, me, and the three-hundred and ninety one gummi bears that live on my desk can toast some S'mores.

I still prefer that we all just hold hands and sing " Kumbaya "

But, my PM Box will be open for lame ass advice between the hours of 9am to 5pm EST.

All proceeds will be donated to the starving WC Artists Association.

( Yes this is tongue-in-cheek response - I'm not really going to donate the cash )

I just want to say "thank you" to everyone who have expressed their veiws on this post. I'm very encouraged by several of you!  I just thought that, "hey, sports teams and the like have a team chaplain, why can't WinCustomize?"

Now several of you observant ones may have noticed that I not only changed my nickname, but that I also changed my email. It is now: [email protected] .

One last question: When I changed my nickname it changed the name on my post, but it didn't change my name in the spot where it displays your nick to show that you are logged in. Any ideas?

Motor Racing, eg Formula One and MotoGP have 'sports Chaplains' ....for the very real possibility of needing to perform Last Rites, etc.  {motor racing is dangerous]...however these people will be trained/Ordained and thus 'qualified' for the role...

It didn't change on the post above for some reason either... but it did elsewhere. As for the nick, it's possible that it's cached (hence why the last post didn't change maybe, cause it grabbed the cache nick). Anyway, If you log out, clear cookies/cache and log back in, you should be all set.

p.s. If you changed your email, and want that email account affiliated with your nickname, I suggest changing your email too.  You can do that by clicking "my: Settings" under your avatar, then click Stardock Account on the tab at the top.  Follow the instructions there.  BTW, welcome to the community.
