What happened to dreamscene final release?

Has MS given up on releasing any updates to dreamscene?  It's been over 6 months since vista release.

I've been running Vista Ultimate since It came out. I like it. Now you're saying they're stopping the Dreamscene. That is a small, but a reason I bought it. I think I'm going back to, and I'm not sure I can do this, but I'm going to format my computer, put back XP, add Linux, and Vista. I do have a big enough HD. TB. I am just not sure about putting three OS's on here.

that says that the final DreamScene shouldn't be released until late 2007... It's not quite late 2007 yet so be patient.

viking396, if you use one of the premium dreams, you should not have that problem. I have a laptop that goes into stand by and sleep, and i am running blissfull dream. It does not seem to crash.

Bad, bad peace of work! MS, but the stardock to!
Today I spend more than hour to make the dreams work,
just because I changed ATI driver (they sucks to, after AMD become the boss there).
I think I'm going back to XP, and Vista is more and more like ME!
Greetings

They're still working on it.

I never get people saying 'Vista = ME'. ME was he biggest piece of crap MS ever made, while Vista runs here flawlessly, even with 4 years old hardware.

Yeah I'm pretty tired of hearing people put Vista down with little to no experience with the OS it's self. It amazes me how easily people can be swayed to say such things without actually trying it with a completely open mind. I'd swear that over 75% of people that say comments like Vista = ME have either never touched it or went out and bought (or downloaded) the 64-bit version without knowing a thing about it - lo and behold when nothing works because they stepped into a word they were not prepared to enter, they blame Vista and say it's "a piece of garbage" that needs to be cleaned up.

Ignorance is Bliss.

Well there are a few things I don't like about Vista. Like enhanced security. Not the security for kids though. If you've ever ran an interactive command prompt then you know hat I mean. And the Disk Defragmenter is bad to. Then again it doesn't show any progress because it as inacurate or something. Microsoft told me it was because of security enhancements though. Well that's nice that DreamScene's coming out soon.

what i really dont get is what is vista other than xp + alot of new GUI and some security enhancments. I mean, maby i dont know what i am talking about (that is a perfectly reasonable possibility) but i dont see how vista does any thing other than take xp and throw in a whole lot of new gui that eats up resources and clamp down on security alot. It occurs to me that every thing that vista has could have been accomplished by a large service pack to xp and some wise use of star dock to change the gui around.

Well i guess im the lone ranger on this...but i havent had any problems with Dreams.....Oh i get the occasional crash but I get that from other apps too. Ive used dreams from the beginning and like them...some of the ones that people post are a bit cheese but the professional ones have worked flawlessly for me.

Im not a Vista fanatic.....as i do get frustrated with it....but the dreams hasnt given me to much of a problem.

The same could have been said about 98 over 95....and XP over 98SE....and when applying that kind of logic, one could say Vista is no more than a glorified version of Windows 3.1.

....just like the Trans-Am Mustang is little more than a souped up Model T Ford. Well they're made by the same company, they gotta be the same, right?

There's no more wrong with Vista than there was with XP when it first came out...in fact it's probably less buggy, but there's those who fear change, something new, and will disparage it while grimly hanging on to the old.

Yep, it happened throughout history...like the Stone-age man who looked at the first contraption on wheels with much trepidation: "Oi, I'm not getting on that bloody monstrosity, me sandals have got me from A to B all me life, and I see no reason to change now." Well we all know what progress the wheel has brought mankind - we'd still be in the Stone-ages without it - and progress halts for no man (woman, either).

My point? Vista IS different than XP, and more than just a new GUI....and it is progress, well Microsoft, a whole bunch of 3rd party devs and Vista users seem to think so.

I suppose when XP goes the way of 95 and is unsupported, the doubtful, fearful and stubborn will turn to Vista and perhaps even embrace it as vehemently as XP when the next Windows OS comes out.

Well for the most part I enjoy Windows Vista, but I haven't read anybody post threads or comments about all the little hidden secrets Microsoft has thrown in their past operating system... It's like a little game or puzzle to find stuff like that..... Maybe it hasn't been long enough to find secrets. Does anyone know where the Vista Startup video is. That would be a good thing to start. I've looked in common locations, but I can't find it. Even if I change the view of the folder. I've been using DreamScene from the start to. I liked the waterfall when it first came out. It's getting kind of boring though. I wish Microsoft would get this final version out... When some random person looks at what I said right now (until they read this part) they're gonna be like Microsoft already released the final DreamScene you idiot. I've read posts and thought the same thing about the people... LOL. I didn't think we'd be discussing about this for so long. One sentence started this huge thing. Weird. Huh?

People who don't buy OSes themselves never know how much work goes into them.
Beauty is more than skin deep, and with Vista it shows. Awesome improvements and it JUST happens to look prettier.

Me? I got mine as a beta testing gift. Aww you say, but Beta/RC was hell. Vista final as it goes, is just smooth bliss. Unless you're a troll on multiple boards and communities with no apparent logic whatsoever, insulting others and being WHINY yourself. *AHEM*

Dreamscene final is coming, so stop it.

Hey, I'm with you on that. But It's just the security enhancements that bug me. Other than that I don't see anything wrong with Vista.

I'm not so sure about that.

update, it's almost 8 months now since Vista went gold. I bet that SP1 is out before dreamscene final.

"I'm not so sure about that."

Are you sure about that? Who are you? Your not the one "working" on DreamScene... Are you? Because if you are than I believe you, but I doubt that. So you don't know.

Okay... First off, ofcourse, anyone in here that doesn't own Vista has nothing to say about it's performance ... and if you buy and own Vista you STILL don't know how much work goes into building an OS unless you are a programmer.

Beauty is more than skin deep, and with Vista it shows. Awesome improvements and it JUST happens to look prettier.

Second sentence... redundant.

Me? I got mine as a beta testing gift. Aww you say, but Beta/RC was hell. Vista final as it goes, is just smooth bliss. Unless you're a troll on multiple boards and communities with no apparent logic whatsoever, insulting others and being WHINY yourself. *AHEM*

Again, redundant to the topic, and by the way... Ignorance is 'bliss'(and u have plenty of that)

Dreamscene final is coming, so stop it.

Finally, Your NOT Bill Gates or one of his employee's are you? If you are going to post, use some intelligence.

It's never a good idea to publicly berate someone over perceived poor grammar, re 'redundancy', etc. whilst shooting oneself in one's foot.

The 'higher moral ground' itself requires defending more diligently....

Rogue:

You do know Microsoft has officially said Dreamscene final will be completed before the end of the summer, right?

Jafo, exactly. I call this corrector's curse. The corrector are fated to make his or her own mistakes when correcting someone else's.

Basically, the more person corrects someone else, the more likely he or she to make his or her own mistakes.
