Diet? For Valen's sake...

This is a nightmare. I'm on a diet and I haven't had any chocolate for a week, A WHOLE WEEK! I'm nearly crawling up the wall. What should I do?

Help me Obi-wan Kenobi, you're my only hope...

a little reward along the way for being good!....what's so hard to understand about that?.......
or perhaps testing your resolve!.......a bit sneaky.........
or deliberate sabotage to sound out your level of diet commitment.......
or maybe just plain feeling a little guilty about being forward in front of everyone in the first place?.......
multiple choice.......or maybe all of them?......don't see what's so confusing about us......it's easy.....say thank you and just eat the bloody chocolate......you know you wanna.....

you see women are too complicated

no such thing......
.......you must be in the early days of giving up smoking and still have no tastebuds......

Yep, in the very early days of quitting the smokes, but there's now't amiss with my taste buds. I have no trouble differentiating between the taste of chocolate and those very scrumptuous yoghurt covered tidbits, however, I have noticed a difference on the bathroom scales since reducing my fat/calorie (chocolate) intake.

Now there's something you don't see/hear about every day....someone who's quitting smoking & losing weight at the same time. Being that arthritis and a spinal condition limits mobility/prohibits too much exercise, I was told that I'd certainly gain weight while quitting the smokes, but the opposite is true because I'm careful about what I eat & how much. Yep, it's still early days, but I've lost just on 1.4 kg since giving up the coffin nails near on five days ago.

I'm hoping to drop around 20kg - 25kg over the next six months or so, not so much to fix my mobility issues, but at least to improve them some. Nothing can fix these old bones entirely now (nobody's gonna spend 6 mil on an old fart like me), but it'd be nice just to be able to go for 'more pain-free' walks and not feel so out of breath.

Well, I've been thinking about all this very long and hard and decided the least painful easy way of giving up a habit is to sleep, have your brain re-programed, and when you wake up you have become a different person with no memory of the past, present or future.  But then that might cost more than the habit.  Oh well, I'll keep working on it Fuzzy.  Hang in there.  All this thinking really makes my head hurt, but you're worth it.

Gee Sydney.  You had to mention smoking.  That is definitely my battle area.  Down to 5 a day so far, lungs say no, mind says yes.
