All Object Desktop components are required to support Vista 64-bit.

Thanks

I was concerned earlier when renewal time came up and I renewed. I wasn't sure if I would regret it, now it sounds like I won't at all. Though to be sure I kinda wish I had Vista to take advantage of more, but sounds like plenty for XP as well.

so I still would not be able to use Logon Vista. I am a subscriber NOW . i DON'T and will not have Vista

Logon Vista is for Vista.
Logon Vista is available to ODNT subscribers.
You are an ODNT subscriber.
You don't have Vista.
Ergo, you *could * use Logon Vista but choose not to by not having all the prerequisites.

Is there confusion, complaint, problem, or something I am missing here?

Zubaz.

their is a complaint of Not being able to use Logon Vista, (having to use the free Logon) as for I DO NOT HAVE VISTA .
Logon Vista is available to ODNT subscribers. ONLY with VISTA NOT XP. Yes I am OD subscriber with XP.
so in short XP useres pay for something they don't get to use..
should not have to buy Vista. Pay $250.00 (and/or Plus), to use a $20.00 Program is dumb!

LogonStudio Vista has already been released...access to the *beta* was for subscribers only, the actual release is *free* to all.

how so?
LogonVista was not in my SDC list as available in:

2003
2004
2005
2006

and my subscription price did not go up.

Now here it's 2007 and LogonVista shows up in my list and my subscription still has not gone up.

So how am I, an XP user, paying for something I can't use?

Bichur,

Try to install LogonVista it WILL tell you that you HAVE TO have Vista (the Operating System) to use LogonVista
SO in short again if you have XP you are paying for LogonVista and Can't use it inless you upgrade to VISTA

It (LogonVista) is in the list of Programs in StarDock Central but when I click on Install it get ( you Have to have VISTA inorder to install this program) so if you all can't see that if you have XP and can't come to the FACT that you are paying for a program that you can't use then the only thing I can say is that your BUMB.

How the hell are you paying for something that is free, Bichur's subby nor mine increased in price, But since neither of us have Vista, by choice, therefore we can't us it. It is rather simple... really, or what, it should be able to be installed on XP when it is for Vista and oh yeah we already have LogonStudioXP.
DeskScapes is listed in ObjectDesktop section of Stardock Central also, it requires Vista Ultimate... It is also free, don't ya want to bitch about that as well.

The new Vista only apps are listed in OD section for now as it was the most sensible place for them to be. When all are ready and decided if part of OD or free I think Stardock will update the sections in SC to reflect what is what. It would not make much sense to do this before hand since OD subscribers have access to test the betas.

All I can say is that if you are complaining about logon vista in object Desktop and you think you are paying more for it and you can not use it because you have xp instead of vista. I would say its time to get a new computer. The price of Object Desktop never went up. Its not anyone fault that you still have XP but your own.
Its time to face it. XP is old and out of date.

Why doesn't he just use the LogonStudio for XP already in his OD subscription? It's more full featured than LogonVista anyway (which just changes the one bkgd picture).

LogonStudio for XP already in his OD subscription

Also not part of OD, they are both free for everyone. This is why we don't understand his complaint, can't pay for something that is free.

LogonStudio Vista is freeware,  Just because it's in SDC doesn't mean anything to your arguement.

Ok at First I could have been sure that Vista Logon you had to pay for it IF you did not have OD.

now on too A new bitch. lol..... (not really)

but have to say XP is not out dated.

Again LogonStudio Vista is not part of Object Desktop, it is freeware that requires Vista, same as LogonStudio XP is freeware for XP. You are not paying for LogonStudio Vista but for some strange reason you seem to want to be able to use it, well then go the hell out and buy Vista. None of your arguments/reasons in this thread make any sense.
Also again, as Island Dog stated, "Just because it's in SDC doesn't mean anything to your argument." It is there so OD subscribers who have Vista can test the Beta if they wish to.

Again, if using LogonStudio Vista, which you are not paying anything for as it is freeware is somehow so important then spend the $200-$400 dollars for Vista.

I just can't use it as for I am an XP user

Again, this is your choice; are you looking for us or Stardock to give you Vista so you can use LogonStudio Vista?
You by choice do not have Vista, therefore you can't use any of the Stardock apps, LogonStudio, Tweak Vista, DeskScapes that are specifically for Vista.

With the added Vista only apps, Vista compatibility in others, there has been no change in OD subscription pricing.

So I must ask, (according to your profile you are 26) what part of no Vista means can't run Vista only apps, do you an adult not comprehend?

(according to your profile you are 42)what part of posts 67,68 and 69 do you, as an adult do you not comprehend?
If you know it's free, then what the hell is the big deal? I just don't get it. I'm not complaining that I can't use dreams because I don't have Vista even though some of the master ones are free to ODNT subscribers, or TweakVista, or any of the other Vista stuff. What do you want them to do, make 2 separate ODNT versions, one for XP and one for Vista?

Mountain out of an ant hill...

*mind boggle*
