Need Some Prayers or Whatever

My Nephew Christofer Leaves for Iraq next Saturday, he is going to Baghdad, then Anbar Provence.

Can I get some prayers or good thoughts for his safe return?

I am very proud of him for serving his country.

Be safe Chris, do your country proud. More Importantly, at all times watch your six.

love, Uncle, Elie

I pray that your nephew stays safe, that he stay in good health over there, and that he comes home to his family soon.

Best wishes to him and your family.

You know I'm hoping for the safe return of your nephew and all of the folks that are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.  I hope that all of them make it back safely and securely and with the job completed behind them.

I don't know your nephew and most likely never will. But all the same I'm proud of him too.

My prayers are with him.

An uncle who calls for prayers for his nephew's sake must be a loving uncle to his nephew indeed. Prayers are very powerful and when prayer goes up by more than one, as in St. Matthew 18:20, then the prayer goes up in unity of the whole Church.

My son is 18 and planning to join the Army National Guard as soon as school is out next month. They have told him for sure that he will see some duty in Iraq or one of those troubled areas. He seems undaunted. My nephew, 19, joined the Marines and left on April 2nd for basic duty or whatever its called.

"For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them".

My prayers are with them all and especially now and on Saturday. May Almighty God bless your Chris and protect him from all harm, in Jesus name. Amen.

You got, MM. Prayers are the least we can give to those in our armed forces.

If you have an address that you (and he) are willing to share, I'd be happy to send him some goodies.

for what it's worth (from one who's both unable to pray as well as unlucky enough to have kept the lions outta the superbowl for decades despite vigorously feigning total disinterest in any facet of the game until there's no longer any way my support can do them more damage than they've done themselves) i'm hoping hard your nephew--together with all his comrades in arms--quickly returns unscathed.

How nice to "see" you kingbee and thank you for kind thoughts, not just for my nephew, but for me when I was so deathly ill.

Much appreciated.

although it's an inversion of common usage, both are truly thankless tasks in that neither requires any sorta thanking.

in fact, you did all the work in that hospital...and it's a damn good thing too. i, for one, am unwilling to even contemplate what kinda inferior substitute of itself this world would be without a moderateman.
