SDC [Still] Won't Archive - [More] XML Data [Now] Missing

no porn in title - no support shows up

https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=167&aid=148223#1169052
As mentioned last month in my post concerning passing naked aliens in moderation, SDC won't archive either in auto or manually.

Seems my xml data is missing.

Tried each server, updating each time 1st.
Refreshed xml data each time (3895kb)
My xml data is still lacking.

The only way I can archive is to select one that available then download and archive.
In order to use it, I have to unistall the version I'm using first ---- but since I can't archive that one, I'll lose it.

I like making archives of the version I'm using in case I have to roll back.

But I can't

I feel your pain, brutha.

Found a fix of sorts. I have some pervious archives stored. I changed the extension from .sdc to .zip, opened it, and extracted the .xml file to the Installed folder.
Tested with 3 apps.... RightClick, DX, and ObjectBar.
Archiving works!

I'll try that way shortly SuperK, thanks.

Tried updating after copying xmls over:

KeepSafe 1.10.005 archived = 2.52 mb

IconPackager Beta is updating, however the auto archived version is 22kb!

I know that won't help you much, but I noticed that the only application that I had successfully downloaded and installed through SDC using the "broken" 141 build, refused to archive as well until I updated the application using the "good" version.

Pitty you are on Dial-up, otherwise you could try and re-download the application through your current version of SDC and then archive it.....

Hey Lady.

I tried the update thang with ODock. Got it updated that way, but it took several SDC installs to get it to show in the list.

One option is download straight to archive, uninstall current & restore archive (if that works)

One option is just to uninstall then download and install a new one

One option is SuperK's suggestion of going through old archives and extracting xmls.

No matter which way I go, what with being on dialup the last couple of months have been a royal pain in my polypterus patootie.

Downloading SP2 didn't suck this bad.

ah well, spank me red and call me rosie.

I gotta get it archived - then uninstall and test the archive
If the archive doesn't hold water, then I have to re download

If it won't archive, then I gotta find an archived one, unzip it, pull out the xml, see it it will archive using that one, then uninstall and test the archive - if it doesn't work, then I have to re download

If I don't feel like opening all the archives to get the xmls, then gotta uninstall and re download to see if the new one will archive

If any of the above work, still won't know if it will work again when an update is out

If I had high speed, I would just start over.
