Saying See Ya Later...(as in I need a break)

For The Time Being...

Well...I'm sorry to report that last Wednesday morning I suffered a stroke while out working. As you can imagine this is having a dramatic effect on my everyday life at the moment, so my activity here at WinCustomize has been put somewhat on hold for the time being till I can get things sorted out. I just now returned home from the hospital, but I suspect I will be returning at some time since my whole left side is completely numb. So far all the tests that have been done have yielded no definite answers as to what happened or what to expect in the days to come. As it stands now I can get up and walk around for the most part...but like I said...my whole left side is completely numb...so I'm still not out of the woods.

And not having health care doesn't help. It's amazing living in a country with such advances in medicine and yet you have no idea if you will get the help you need unless you can afford it.

Anyway, for anyone interested I will report in as to my progress when I can.

Have a Great Day People!

Thoughts and prayers Giz.
Get better, OK?

Make sure you give yourself enough time for recovery before working full-time again, you don't want to stress your body even more than what it's been through already. Take care of yourself first and remain positive, everything else will fall in place. Good luck, I wish you a speedy recovery!

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. I suffered a major stroke in 2000, but with willpower and determination, I am back to normal. It will take time, but you can recover what you have lost. May God Bless You in your efforts. I will be hoping to hear that you are better real soon.

Webby my friend, should you be going back to work so soon? Please take some time to heal bud.
Were you any chance a veteran?I was self employed for 20 years so when I got sick,I got homeless(no healthcare)...crazy thing is,the VA now gives me all my healthcare for free(1 heart procedure and now chemo).

Course I'm single so it actually worked for the best.

GEt some rest, get some therapy and get back to skinning.

You have my prayers also.

Hi Web. I hope you're doing better. What I.R. said is correct. You need to find a program. Have you considered filing a disability claim with either the VA if you are a Vet or with Social Security? Does your state have supplemental medical coverage for which you qualify? Take some time to find out what your options are and where you can turn to for support. Good luck.

I can only mirror the replies already posted. Remember, the body with the help of the mind has the amazing ability to heal it self much to the confusion of the medical profession. Take care and get well.

No one on this site probably remembers me, been gone for about a year and decided to come back and saw this. Even if you don't remember me, I remember you and I wish you nothing but the best man. Hang in there and don't give up the fight, for as it appears you have a lot of people in your corner!

At the moment...my status is that my left side is still annoyingly numb...I have feeling there but my dexterity is a bit wonky

This sounds like a positive thing, although frustrating.

I wish you all the best in your recovery and hope for the best.

Good luck and good thoughts.
