If there were NO moderat ion within either the Wall, Logon or Bootskin sections I can guarantee you would find photos of some hip-cat and his significant squeeze, MyDogFido, and Spring-Break Happy-snaps. Why? Because that's what we get now. Fortunately for moderation you don't have to suffer them

Here is a classic example of why moderation here at WC is not only a good thing but essential. My wife was browsing deviantArt earlier and came across an image that not only clearly violates public decency, but is inappropriate for any skinning/art site.
It is a photo manip of an erect penis on a platter, so if anyone questions the necessity of wall moderation, then perhaps they should take a look here WWW Link to see why we must have moderation/strict controls.

Now I'm not suggesting that anyone here would submit this kind of thing here, nor am I accusing anyone of having done so, I'm just trying to make a point for moderation that prevents such garbage reaching us here at WC.

Jafo has already pointed out the need/reason: "Why? Because that's what we get now.", so perhaps there are some who should try sitting on the other side of the fence to understand how difficult a job the moderators really have. I sure as hell wouldn't want the job.

BTW, my wife has lodged a complaint at dA regarding the submission in question, so it may have already been taken down....just should never have been allowed in the first place,

The link was provided purely to support the argument for moderation, to demonstrate just how difficult the moderators jobs must be to their critics and doubting Thomases who think it's just a matter of "I Like, I don't like" when accepting or rejecting walls, etc. The link was certainly not provided for amusement, curiosity sake or titillation, but to show that material of this kind does get submitted at sites such as ours. However, anyone who read my description and agrees with the need for moderation controls here at WC would have had no need to view the item.

BTW, Bandit, you didn't miss anything much...it was a pretty p!ss poor photo manip of nothing remarkable and done in very poor taste. I guess, tho, some have to be shocked into listening to reason...hence the link. Okay, it went slightly off topic, but I felt it related to personal pages and what 'some' may consider appropriate to post in a less public arena. Of course, none of the long term or regular members would consider posting inappropriate material (well one would hope not ), but perhaps there are newcomers who sometimes need to be reminded of WC's policies with regard to submitted images.

You're right on there, Bandit...one only has to view his art and listen to his music to know that Po` is not only one truly talented individual but a really decent bloke to go with it.
